The new table is great-it’s much easier to see what’s happening when there’s no distracting logo.

I agree with you on The Four Jokers by Bernard Bilis - especially with the use of the indicator cards!! =) It's on my Must Buy List!
RE: "GONE" - Well I left my comments in your performance video (I saw that video before this one). I would (maybe) buy this if this was the only (or one of the very few) Card To Impossible Location effects on the market. In Nick's performance, the envelope simply brushes against the deck while being passed to the helper. That's better - kinda. :)

I played with Gone a lot and settled on the handling I used in the video. Under the right misdirection nobody detects anything. Trust me.

@@magic-tv Thank you for the reply :)
I agree and that type of handling I've done hundreds of times in many other effects .. but no longer. Until I discovered that many people are too polite to express what they are thinking, in front of the entertainer.
For many years I have gone to magic shows, as a regular audience member, where no one knew I was a magician. I would listen to what people say while in the lobby, in the bathrooms, and outside. The one thing I discovered is that many (not all) people are too polite (or scared of social repercussions) to say what they are thinking in front of the magician - and that's a GOOD thing. I can't tell you how many times I overheard an audience members talking about how they worked out how an effect was done while standing at the urinal. And I'm talking about shows featuring some of the biggest names in Magic. The last thing we want are adults acting like that 10 year old boy who constantly yells out, "I Know What You Did" (but I digress - lol). Those experiences made me realize that just because the audience doesn't say anything doesn't mean that they didn't "catch" you on something. People nowadays are a bit more sophisticated in their ability to figure things out than 20, 30, 50, etc years ago.
Having said that, as I stated in a different (loooong - lol) comment, what is really important is whether I entertained them, would they hire me for a gig and/or come see me again. Call it a "pet peeve" ... call it "mild OCD" ... (just don't call me Fred) I just get goose bumps when I see a magician making unnecessary movements with their items, in full view of the audience.
      :)

This is also in his book from the 1970's with a very young Bernard in his teens on the front. Its a great book with a cut and restored card trick in it. And other great stuff

Regarding GONE, I honestly dont see any benefits over Paperclipped, being a "card to impossible location" or "impossible card transpo" having NO ENVELOPE at all is much more impossible, at least for me... Also a nest of enevolpes would create the same feeling and memory for the spectators. It feels only as a "clever method" but I dont feel it solves any issues with preexisting routines.
Do you think this improves any of the mentioned above?

I’m a big Bernard Bilis fan and learned the Joker routine from his 4-DVD Passion set. I think this presentation is really good and elevates it.

Google on your old table made looking at magic close-up very difficult. I do like the new table but I would like to make a comment and that is I've only done a few CZcams videos but I found out a long time ago that a light color works much better than black something like a light tan or an off-white really makes the tricks you're doing snap black and that's kind of hackneyed so I'm disappointed that you chose black but most magicians do some magicians do because they need black art others do just because that's what all magicians do but you might consider a light colored table top try one and see if it doesn't make the magic look more spiffy

Not sure why Ryland likes Thought Transmitter when it's really obvious from the spectator point of view at what moment he could have take a look at what was written on the card. Also, reading reviews on it, they talk about how cheaply it's made and how it's easy to "leak" or expose.
Gone could look really magical, but the move is WAYYYYYY to obvious, all the heat is on the envelope you mentioned to keep an eye on, and it goes over the deck on a really FISHY way for no reason at all, people KNOW something happened.
Frozen in time makes no sense, if it's on a transparent case why the performer needs to take it out of it, and even then it's a picture protected by acrylic/glass, so what's the point for the case itself to begin with. Also, I understand Ryland just got it, but need a better excuse for the reason behind of the picture and all of that, otherway it's like... Ok, you matched the clock...
And Craig, you rub your finger on the glass, no on the picture itself, no idea what's the idea behind that.

Interesting how several times when you describe tricks that "Flew under the radar" you point out a lot of negative points on them... Isn't that the reason they flew under the radar?
