Onn Wireless Mouse Not Working Troubleshooting Guide

- In this video I go through some troubleshooting steps you can try if your Onn. 5 button wireless mouse is not working or is not connecting to your laptop or computer. The first step is to try moving the USB Nano Receiver to a different USB port. The second step is to make sure your batteries are installed correctly. The third step is to try brand new batteries. The fourth step is to use the connect button on the bottom of the mouse to try to connect to the wireless Nano receiver. holy crap my mouse did not work this whole day . i got on youtube and searched how to fix it i saw your video we have the same mouse and then i clicked on it. the last step where you take off the usb and wait 10 secs worked for me thanks!
Thank you so much, this was so helpful! I tried all the steps, but unplugging the receiver and waiting ten seconds, plugging it back in and using the mouse got it working!!

Need troubleshooting for an Onn Wireless Rechargeable Gaming mouse. Works fine if plugged in, software says it's 100% charged. But if I unplug the charger, lights all goes off. I reinstalled the driver, and keeps failing on the update. Tried the dongle in all USB ports, no change. Mouse almost a year old.

My keyboard will not connect to the adapter but the keyboard turns on. The mouse connects to the adapter however and I don’t know how to fix it.
This didn't work on my nephews mouse. I did not just watch this but also reviewed and followed the PDF instructions. It does not work on my laptop or his. We got the mouse from Wal-Mart. I wonder if it is just defective.

I've tried 4 different Onn Mice. The mouse wheel starts to slip after a few months, all 4 of them. The shaft connecting the gear to the scrolling isnt thick enough.

im confused my batteries were double as 1.2v and i took a different double as 1.2v battery and it worked?
I ended up getting a mostly busted mouse where the red light doesn't come on or something? It registers clicks and the scroll-wheel but I can't move my cursor unfortunately
Ended up getting another later on that endures the same issues. I'll just save up for a better long-term mouse...

Nice video but mine still isn't working. I even put that nano receiver into my other laptop which then tells me there is a error. It seems that this has happened to a lot of people so I give up. Time to buy another one. It's just that this mouse was connected to some memories. :(

None of that addressed driver issues or other non obvious remedies. Thanks for the video but those seem to be very superficial remedies and none of them helped my situation. I’m harsh because I’m exasperated that my new mouse won’t work.

I found an easier way to fix mine; I placed it in a microwave for 30 seconds, and then went to Walmart and bought a Logitech mouse/keyboard set.

Wow! What a comlicated technical trouble shooting...Now How to turn on the TV. Please teach us the complicated process of how to pick up the remote and find the power button and then how to press the danm button should we use the index finger or may be use a thumb? and please also teach us how to turn it back off. What would we all do with out your state of the art troubleshooting instruction...:)

Seriously thats your majestic advice? Turn it off and turn it back on? What happens when it says that the device is not recognized? Because that's whats going on with mine, says it doesn't recognize the device... I tried all your tricks and its still unresponsive. The light comes on and remains bright, I try to connect and it dims for a second like its searching then goes back to the bright red. However it refuses to connect...
So any more bright ideas to try?

I bought a wireless mouse at a local shop and when I changed the AAA pair of batteries it would not come on. I bout a very cheap new WIRED mouse at WalMart and had no problems at all. I will take the two mouses to the local shop and get a refund or another wireless mouse. It is possible the 3 pairs of batteries are OK and the small spring for one of the batteries is broken and not accessible (cheap China build. I will ask the shop owner to verify whether the 2 battery poles are working but I suspect the . spring for one of the batteries is broken or disrupted.

getting really close to the receiver and hitting that connect button was the only thing that worked. I mean I thought it was close before and nothing. It was basically touching the receiver and started working again.
