- Momotaro's mishap was caused by a pigeon.
A pigeon appeared indoors, and Kintaro and Gentaro were very excited.
The pigeon escaped to a higher altitude, and Momotaro's usual routine went awry.
He's not in the mood for dinner, and even climbs to a place he's never seen before to protest?
I had never heard Momotaro scream that loud before.
I heard that the pigeons were safely caught by the keepers.

The Momotaro family were all born and raised in Japan!
Momotaro (father) was born on October 18, 2000
He came to the Kyoto City Zoo in 2010.
Genki (mother) was born on June 24, 1986.
I was born in Kyoto and came back to Kyoto.

Yep. Just the way Momo went over to the window amazed me cause he could have just went down to the ground and up the little wall, but noooo, he climbed up across down over. He did a little Mission Impossible today, haha!!

I can't just watch one video. I'm so invested in these amazing creatures.
This is such a beautiful gorilla family I love to watch them interact, however, I wonder sometimes if they have enough room to explore and live.
They dont..not even close..they need at least 3 acres with the 4 of them but thats never gonna happen which is a disaster bc their nature is to never stay in 1 place for more than a day..yes they will circle back to places previously visited but thats usually after giving the plants time to recover from feeding..this is slowly driving them insane and they lose their instincts..plus momo has no mates to choose from and he is confused. They are martyrs and not for a greater cause bc gorillas are predicted to be extinct in 20 yrs.. we are taking their natural habitat so ppl can live on their land and put them in jails so ppl can gawk at them and take videos and make money off their suffering while they mate and sell them to other zoos like puppy mills..look at genki she bit her own finger off due to how they are paired up and mated..its so sad i hate yhese channels
Plus they are very intelligent...im sure they know that everyone around them walk free and they cant which im sure builds up a hatred for most of the visitors who come and look and point..it mustbe maddening to go thru that everyday and then you got these ppl who come and point a camera at them for hours and hours and never stop. As our own dumb species gets smarter we will.lo0k back at zoos with disgust...money drives all thats wrong with humans..

Gentaro always usually goes inside last. At 5:13 you can tell he’s waiting for his father to enter and looks confused as what to do…

Only one other time have I seen Momotaro this upset. It was on the day he arrived at Kyoto City Zoo. The keepers were transferring him from the shipping cage into the indoor enclosure. Upon entering the enclosure he appeared very angry and extremely agitated. That's when he gave this intense ROAR. It was far worst than this one. I'm glad the keepers safely removed the pigeon and he was able to go back in without further incident.

Would it be possible not to play music? It would be nice to hear gorillas make noise ( whatever noise) also would like to hear the noise of other animals that gorillas hear. It would be so nice if all the gorilla videos had no music.
Очень жаль, что у семьи Момо мало места и они не могут позволить новую гориллу. Плюс, пока Генки живы, это вряд ли может случиться из-за ее псих.травмы. Но каждый раз так грустно видеть, как Момотаро пытается взаимодействовать с Генки, просто посидеть рядом, а она тут же отсаживается. Момотаро как большой ребенок, ему бы понравилось, если бы девочки ухаживали за его шерстью и уделяли ему внимание и любовь. В этом плане очень приятно наблюдать за семьей D'jeeco

I could understand Momo being upset about the pigeon because it was in his enclosure. But why the roar when he was in the outside enclosure looking out through the top window? Btw, that was impressive. Momotaro the acrobat. Now I see where Kintaro gets it from.
Because the pigeon had flew up there in the inside, so he went up to the window on the outside to check bird (intruder) was going/gone. He was very angry and put him to alert protection mode.

Oh wow I hadn’t noticed that he had fallen! Well one things for certain, family certainly got their exercise that day from that pigeon!

My observation is:
Genki if you notice is on high alert and is always looking around to see where Gentaro is, then she shuffles her little feet as fast as she can as she grabs Kintaro along the way to stay close to Momo. Gentaro won't mess with her as long as she is close to him. Momo is just on Alert because of Gentaro's behavior I think. I think Momo knows it's only a matter of time before Gentaro's stares become a full on attack. The bird and Momo that's weird because he never payed attention the last time that pigeon flew into the enclosure. 😊

Didn't look scared to me. When he jumped up to that window and started grunting loudly he wanted to get in there and kick pigeon butt. I've seen him go into protection mode before when he thought his family might be threatened and it looks exactly like what he did at that window.

They aren't usually in their indoor enclosure...flapping around near their heads. Genki ushered Kintaro out like she was afraid too, so yes - I think it was about the pigeon.
