Hey! Was wondering if it would be possible for you to test out Ubuntu or some other flavor of Linux on the XPS 15? I'm looking for a college laptop but info on Linux compatibility for new hardware is basically non-existant, it would be awesome if you could just quickly boot up a live USB drive copy of ubuntu (just flashing the ubuntu iso to a usb stick and booting, no install necessary) and testing backlight, brightness, speakers and wifi / bluetooth - those are usually the only issues with new hardware. Thank you for the videos!

The fan was so loud I was actually concerned it might blow up, I could hear it from the other room. Came with i7-11800H and RTX3060 6GB. I upgraded the RAM to 64 GB and there's still an empty slot for another SSD. The RAM upgrade possibility wasn't listed anywhere so it was a lucky trial that worked. Very happy with it. Of course the XPS 15 or 17 has a nicer screen but also costs twice as much.

Hey! Thank you for your content, always good to watch your new videos.
I wonder if you can give me your opinion to which machine to choose (based on your experience of use).
I'm between getting a dell xps 15 (fhd, i5 and 16gb RAM) or a macbook air m1 (16GB). As I need to run something with a unix-based operating system (and I do not really like windows) I would run the dell with Ubuntu.
What can you tell me about battery life and longevity? I want to choose the machine that will last with me for the longest time, and battery life/longevity is a big thing for me.
This is a rough decision as the dell can receive RAM upgrades, for example, being a counter weight in the "machine that will last longer" balance.
    Thank you!

    Cheers,

So there is a small dent on the bottom cover plate, light bleeding on the screen and a scratch on one of the corners of the laptop? After SO many complaints for quality issues of 9500 Dell still haven't improved their quality control??
