    Looking forward to you hopefully doing a full review of the new Dell XPS 17" 9730, ideally with the 13th gen i7 when it comes out (I think the i9 already is out). I've seen reference to the i7 one coming out later in April, in May and in June, but hopefully sooner rather than later. I'm not averse to getting it with the i9, but that's more than I need, and I'm guessing that the i7 might run cooler and have a longer battery life. I'm also considering one of the Samsung Book3's, maybe the Pro, Pro360 or Ultra, but I love the XPS 17" in a 15" form factor with those tiny bezels around the screen, and its 500 nits and keyboard, among other things, the XPS just seems more solid too. One thing though, if I go the Dell XPS route, I'm leaning towards the FHD+ instead of the 4k screen to save money and improve battery life. I wish the XPS could come with the 2.5k oled screen of the Book3's. Though maybe if the cooling is much better in the new XPS 9730 with the 13th gen i7 chip maybe I could get the 4k screen afterall. Maybe you'd talk about that if you do the review, any of the above actually. Thanks.

    Upgradeability of Laptops should be a mandatory thing. Thankfully it´s like that for mid/high end laptops even so it´s sometimes a bit crappy to get to the parts.
    A simple to access service panel to get you to ram/nvme/2.5" drivebay slots would be something that should be standard. But instead you have to disassemble the entire thing fiddle with the idiotic plastic clips after you unscrewed it..

    Watching this video through my xps15 9520. I'm a big fan of XPS line as well, but I have to say that Dell needs to make some changes. The trackpad issue has not been completely fixed since 9500 (luckily I don't have this issue), and the 9510 and 9520 I use are accompanied by electric sound when running. Again, I don't think these problems should happen with such an expensive laptop. As for the cooling design, I think it is to differentiate from the higher xps17 line, so Dell tends to stick with the old cooling design.

    xps15 is known for its sleek design and nightmare quality control. Just got my 5th or 6th replacement and Dell finally ships me a laptop without major defects. Just keep reporting the issues you got (like the noisy hinge) and they will replace the device for you.

    lol same old XPS, absolutly stunning screen and design but that hinge will need duck tape in a couple years and youll barely be able to run Fortnight with the amount of throttling itll induce with the terrible cooling. If they stepped up the quality on those two things this laptop would be perfect.

    They've been using the same design for 3 years now... The good news is that the 2021 model is the sweetspot now. You can get an i9, 3050Ti for $1250.

      the CPU jump from 11th to 12th gen is a very noticeable improvement for the intended audience of this laptop, and they've been going for $500 off to $1499 recently, dell also used the previous XPS 15 design for 4 years, so they might do the same here

    The only complaint is that it should have been black. Silver gives kinda hp vibe.

    Do you think an iPhone 12 pro would be a good buy in 2023, or would the regular 13 be a better pick? Since price wise they're really similar. The 13 is newer ofcourse but the 12 pro is the pro model. In the Netherlands you can get them for around 650 euros on a good refurbished one.

      12 Pro has better camera, 13 has better battery.

      Yeah true, but which one would last longer if you're looking to keep it for 4 years or so

    • @Fapados123
      @Fapados123 Před rokem +1

      @@maximstet7728 Both will last 4 years easily, but that also depends on the battery health if you're buying used. I would personally pick the 12 Pro, but that's just me.
