Cleggy was the power development coach at Manchester United for close to 12 years and is known throughout the footballing world for his coaching skills. Cleggy has a very unique approach to power coaching as Ben found out during his time at United.
This week's episode is a fascinating insight into a fantastic career working with the world's best athletes!
Cleggy tells us how he helped develop the biggest names in the game including Ryan Giggs, Rio Ferdinand, Roy Keane, Paul Scholes and Ronaldo and…. it wouldn’t be a Fozcast episode without some inside stories and some laughs along the way with the lads!

Wow Fozzy, got to say this is the best one you’ve recorded by far. Mick is a true great and gave such an educational insight to his work and time at Manchester United. Really gave a different perspective on how to do things and how to apply yourself. On the back of this I have just purchased his book and really really looking forward to reading it 👏🏼🔝

Met Michael Jr in our local pub when I was a kid, he signed my Clegg 32 shirt and brought me a ball signed by the team (safe to say I was in bits afterwards). Absolute cracking lad and it appears it's been handed down by his old man! Can't wait to give the book a read on my jollies, the insight is absolutely world class (as Fozzie would say) haha. Love the pod... UP THE FOZCAST!

What a legend, what a guy, the insight into what he did was amazing. It's inspired me to look into plyometrics for my boys, especially my youngest who is hyper mobile, each person is an individual and you have to treat them that way... I love it!!! Thankyou all!
i absolutely love this, i'm recovering from a bone bruise, so i have to rest (been going to the gym and hopping on the bike there) and these podcasts are just amazing. the Stories from Mick Glegg about how he's entered such a prestigious job and he's still just learning, going along with it and evolving both the players and himself is just a testiment of how one's mentality should be to be successful in life/sports/... These players are at the top of the game, he's seen and the top of his field and yet they're all in it together, figuring out how to take the next steps.

I still remember getting to do my work experience with Mick Clegg, amazing guy and his love for training athletes
Been going through a lot of mental health struggles in my life at the minute but that’s gave me a great new outlook and perspective on life, even if I am a Liverpool fan it’s great hearing how elite level athletes go about bettering themselves and how Neville kept his brain active with other things to switch off from football. Possibly your best podcast yet in my opinion.

As an up coaching strength and conditioning coach currently in university in Cardiff this was an amazing podcast to watch. Being a life long man united fan, following Ben from his time at my home town club of Wrexham (winning 2005 LDV Vans final!) and having such a love for athlete development I couldn't have enjoyed this more. A great and insightful podcast. The thinking outside the box regarding Giggsy was best part for me.
Have only fairly recently discovered the fozcast and my wife not being the most footie fan loves listening to this with me - top work guys - love it.
The best yet. My brain is buzzing right now. I have sat through too many one day training courses that only ever had value for clicking some box at the end of the year. I took away far more in that 81 minutes, fresh perspectives, strategies etc. that I can run with developing a team of young engineers that have to carry the baton when I retire.

It would be awesome to learn from people around the world what it’s like supporting a premier league team from the country they live in. For example in New Zealand, games are usually at 1,2,3 am and how people here watch finals at the pub in the early mornings. I bet the culture football around the world is much the same but having some fans from across the globe answer some questions would be very interesting. Up the Fozcast!

Great podcast, but PLEASE seat your guests closer to the microphone, like yourselves. The difference in volume really makes it a difficult listen. Otherwise, keep up the good work!
