Coming here in light of the 99% probability that Joanne Hogg is back for the XC3 DLC. I have a terrifying feeling that Mitsuda and Hogg dream team will find a way to make me cry even more than this song.

@@kieranray5340 i honestly thought it was just as good as any of the other songs shes done and it made me get close to crying not even because i thought future redeemed's ending was sad but just because of the song alone
@@anime-cu7sq oh I wasn't trying to say it was bad in any way, sorry if I came across that way! It was still beautiful but for some reason the Xenosaga ones tug on my heartstrings that little bit more. Which I do put down to the music, cos I'm more attached to Blade as a series than Saga. Future Awaits is still absolutely incredible.
Future Redeemed referencing all previous Xeno games is just too hype, had to listen to Kokoro and Small Two Of Pieces again

I got the chance to play this game and just finished episode 1 recently. This song hits me very hard, I used to like a girl, but I got turndown, and when we got the chance to meet, I cowered instead. I believed I was not ready for a serious relationship at that time and then we drifted apart. I still hold my memories of her dearly, she will always be a dear friend of mine. I am in a situation like Shion who loves one person dearly and avoided relationships, and I'm like Allen who loves a person but afraid to speak up. Been single until now, I can manage myself very well, but I sometimes feel lonely, I understand now why God said "Its not good for man to be alone". Xenogears had given me a very beautiful experience, this game also delivered something memorable, perhaps i could play this song with the harmonica. God bless you all

@@xenocross5129 that was over 2 years ago now. I think with the success of not only Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and Xenoblade Chronicles DE, and the fact that the 3rd game is coming sometime soon, they can mostly likely open discussions again and Bandai might be more open to it.
@@xenocross5129 I'd totally play a remaster of the game, especially if it was a three-pack bundle like Mass Effect's remaster was. I've never played or owned 2 or 3 but I'm interested. And in finally beating this one, since I got near the end and got stuck on something and ended up playing something else... then never went back to it.
Then again I'm the weirdo that liked Grandia III and Star Ocean: Till the End of Time, two other often-overlooked PS2 RPG's that filled my childhood.
@@jenerossitea9247 People have been bugging Bamco about this for YEARS and the answer hasn’t changed. They don’t like doing remasters, and remastering Xenosaga involves updating three substantially-sized games (including well over a dozen hours of cinematic cutscenes) for what’s still, at the end of the day, a relatively niche audience. And frankly the games have not aged gracefully in many respects, meaning that if released as-is they’re not going to bring in a ton of new players outside of Xeno diehards: they’re too slow, clunky and inconsistent. It sucks, but that’s the reality of the situation.

This is a Xenosaga song but I always felt that the song is made for Lacan and Sophia from Xenogears. Especially at the lyrics:

The picture seemed to me the painting Lacan's painting of Sophia.
I love this song because I can feel the struggle of Lacan, with this song. Maybe its a homage of Xenosaga to Xenogears.
It's an homage of you want it to be. Poetic words are intentionally fluid in interpretation, but your perspective is as valid as any other.

Yeah. XENOSAGA III was amazing and a great end. We got a censored version for episode 2.
Listening to the lyrics, the only character who's perspective this would make sense to being sung from would be Allen.

I've yet to play Xenosaga, but I can connect to this song so much. It's spectacular.
It can be a pain in the ass to use a emulator. The first two games have issues, like crashes at over 80% of save points, and missing textures and audio. so your best bet is to play them on console if you can.

A week or so ago, I listened to this song again for the first time in ages while reliving the memories of my youth and listening to songs from my favorite PS2 games. This song stuck in my head more than any other I listened to during that stint, kept playing over and over in my mind even after I finished. And yesterday, I finally realized why and told the woman I love how I feel about her after having been too afraid to say anything for the better part of a decade.
