Arid Desert Terrarium Step By Step 2023

- This week, I used cactuses that I had and an old terrarium to create this beautiful desert terrarium.
This is similar to my other terrariums. However, I set it up so that it has low humidity at around 20%. I added Armadillidium Officinalis Isopods.
All living things in the world deserve a chance at life and I love repurposing & creating homes for these fun creatures.

That looks amazing! This is the sort of look I want when my ant colony are large enough to take on such an arena.
I love it !
Thank you!

Want something manageable like this for the living room. Just trying to figure out what all I put in it without it being too much like a gladiator arena. Lol. But we'll see
This is just beautiful. Well done sir.
Thank you! Good luck!
Haha, I think a gladiator arena would look pretty cool tho
How often do you water the plants
It just looks perfect. You made it amazing 🙌 .. but how do the insects drink
Thank you so much!
HI! loved the video! Wanted to ask what the plant on the left front you used that wasn't a cactus :0?
Thank you so much! I forgot the name of this plant 😟
Love your video but I need to ask how high is the terrarium I am going to build a desert ecosystem white a scorpion thats why I ask
Thank you! High is 45 cm
congratulations it is great. can i grow desert beetles inside?
Thank you ! Yes for sure 🙂
This is amazing video
You’re missing the step where you give ratios and types for substrate
Also plant names and isopod names
@@luyahroz9313 cracking me up that the guy hearted your comments and then made no effort to answer your questions
@@loooongneck right lol
Nice, do you make bioactive enclosures for reptile
Thank you , yes i do !
@@peaceofnaturee can we see some? I’m thinking of making a bioactive enclosure for my crested gecko
@@calicocriterisopod Yes i can make a video
How can I get the substrate mix (what did you put in it) and what plants
And what animals is this suitable for
It is very nice, but why did You put little stones first, then net, then dirt with sand and sand in the end? This layers are have meanings?
Stones:drainage
Dirt:plants and drainage
Sand:Decoration
Drainage would be my guess
Thats right !
To give a step by step would be helpful if you also explained what mix you used as substrate and some explanations along the way ,loved the final result but not helpful to understand how to make one with the right ingredients
Thank you for your feedback. In future videos I will try to make sure I give more explanation on how to use the right ingredients 🙏🏻
@@peaceofnaturee Thank you
@@loz792 You’re welcome 🙏🏻
@@peaceofnatureewhat did you use? i want to make this for my beetles
Those isopods dried out, didn't they?
There is a humidity side in the left corner for them.
Is the enclosure good for bearded dragons
Yes ! Bearded dragons can be good with little touch
Where can I find the names of the sand and the other materials
This is play sand. I collected rocks from nature. I don’t know their name.
Can ants live in this
Yes, probably.
