I love the UK, it is a great country and its people are very kind, I have spent the best time in my life over there.. Tareq from Saudi
I've been looking for a video like this all day. thank you very much
Thank you for that code for the .htaccess file!! I couldn't quite get my code correct and had changed domains today and none of my backlinks were going to the correct place. You save me from loss of SEO and traffic!! Thanks again, been looking for hours for this fix.
Awesome stuff Alex - thanks for the mention :)
Thank you for helping him with the htaccess code, that helped me too!!
Thank you very very very much !! that was exactly what i was looking for 🙏
Thank you so much for making this video! Such great help!
This was incredibly helpful. Thank you so much.
Thank-you for sharing! I am trying to figure out how to switch domain names and you use all the same servers and hosts so this was great! And I was worried about my google analytics.
ty good demonstration!
Great video....😍
You make awesome video 😍
Great Alex from Italy !
Love it
Great video.
thank you so much
Thanks for the video! I didn't have to add the code when I changed the domain, Siteground must have seen your video and fixed it😂
As soon as I change the domain name data in my database I get a permission error when I try to visit the site, Do you have any idea on how to fix this?
Thanks. Great video. Made it real very easy. What is the effect on rankings and SEO when changing?
If you 301 redirect correctly you should be ok
Alex, I've been meaning to ask, for the articles you write on roofbox, there's a space between each paragraph. How do you write like that?
Do you double tap enter after H1 or what exactly, give me a formatting rundown please.
Just press enter within elementor - if not just add a space then another block.
@@WPEagle Let me be specific.
For example on one of your articles, you have this H2 title: "Loading Your Roof Box
"
Then a gap, then the text: "The focus of this article is what you should put/load in your roof box..."
Now I want to replicate the same gap. By the way, enter on elementor and also on Word is a newline and doesn't create a gap. I tried double enter, or double alt+enter, but the space created is not the same.
I want to replicate exactly your format.
There has to be something I'm missing here, I can't see anyone creating a new block of text after every H2 or H3, do you?
Hi - it's a Heading block followed by a text block...
Thanks for the video. Probably a stupid noob question but does siteground take care of all the 301s automatically than (so there is no manual 301 redirecting needed on any of your .com pages)?
Yeah 👍
@@WPEagle great, thanks!
Hey Alex and friends, please tell me what plugin is used to make the "check latest price of product" onthe roofbox site? Cordially
Here you go: czcams.com/video/gLwuJF680t8/video.html
@@WPEagle Alex do you use KGR or what SEO method?
Hello!
Your videos has been really helpful. I have a question about namecheap. I don't recall using any sort of other domain name website. I did everything on Siteground so does that mean I can skip that step? Also, changing your primary domain name is free correct?
Yeah you can if your domain is with siteground. Should be free
@@WPEagle I had asked someone about changing my website into a different one and if it would cost me. This is what I got “You physically can’t. That’s not a thing. You literally just have to buy a new one”. How true is this statement? I just don’t want to waste the money I spent on my first domain so if it’s mandatory to purchase for renaming, wouldn’t it be better to just add another website with the name I wanted?
@@WPEagle I hope I am making sense here haha
Very helpful video. Thanks. Will my emails automatically be forwarded to my new Siteground email account under the new domain name?
I'm not sure. Check with siteground :)
@@WPEagle Here is the reply from the tech support: "After the primary domain is changed, the e-mail addresses which are associated to the old domain will be changed and associated to the new domain, old e-mail addresses will cease to exist. After the primary domain is changed, the old domain will be automatically parked and what can be done is to create the e-mail accounts again and after that simply setup forwarders from Site Tools --> EMAIL --> Forwarders
Alex, in your article "Dodge Grand Caravan Roof Box Buyers Guide", you have a mistake in your price comparison table where you repeated the "product" cell two times. Might wanna look.
Thanks!
When I am sharing my new website with people the picture in the text and the site name still show the old one. Its directing correcting but do you know how I change that?
Sharing where?
I built a new website for a friend using a temp domain on Siteground. I've finished the build how do I switch this temp website with his (also in my siteground account) live website ??
Hi Tom, Did you ever get an answer? I have this question too.
@@macarthurweb …yes I did, by opening a ticket with Siteground tech support. It was actually quite simple. Sorry I don’t remember the specifics right now, but just open a ticket
@@tomfraser3086 ok thank you :)
maoe video about tranfering website to another hosting thanks
Hey, Considering downloading your site template, and to support you i am thinking about buying a subscription for the UAE, can you tell me what features do you use and how is it better to a free alternative? What other affiliate options are there with the site template, and are they essentional? Is the UAE a $55 an annual cost that works on multiple sites? Thank you
I use the tables and blog posts widgets the most. There isn’t really a free option on the tables. They have different lives we depending on your needs.. good luck
The other option is elementor pro which you might like. That’s all the affiliate options
You can test both for free by using my pack anyway.
@@WPEagle I followed your roofbox vid and created a site - i can see value in the table from the UAE. i used the free blog post plugin you mentioned in that vid for my last site, would you say the functionality and options are much better with this UAE paid over the free one? FYI, I will probably get the UAE and show some support, you add a lot of value to the community and you've helped me a lot- Thanks
Yeah, more options with uae. Thanks for the support!
how about changing my website location?
I sounds so scary though, coz im worried all my pages i made in the wordpress will also be deleted. Is it true? I don't want to redo the entire page again from the scratch.
Please enlighten me. Thanks
They should be fine 👍
Hi, I followed your instructions to change domain name, and I have new name, but nothing else. Help.
I'll need more info to help you Janet
@@WPEagle well, I’m not sure what else to tell u.I had site ground and Wordpress like u did with Elementor. I’m not really up yet, I was in the process, and decided I wanted to see if I could change my Domain, so I followed your video, but when I finished all I could do is get on site ground. This shows my new domain...a thorough search ...the Wordpress does not show at all. I was on Wordpress.com with the domain of gleaningknowledge.com. I’m trying to shut that one down.. gleaningknowledge was also the domain of siteground till I changed it. I am extremely new to this and that’s all I know to tell you.
Thanks
Janet Barker ok - I would get in touch with SiteGround and they should get you straight
@@WPEagle ok
I subscribed to the mail list but didn't receive the template. Please help me, Alex.
I've emailed you :)
@@WPEagle Got it. Thank you Alex :)
Removing the property affects all your hard work for SEO. Is there a way to not affect the SEO for the change of name?
Just 301 redirect the old urls
@@WPEagle please do an updated version, no affects on seo
Do we now call you James, Alex? LOL
Lol, that’s my official name
Thanks mate but isn't there any plugin to make this more easier
Don’t think so ..
@@WPEagle hahaha
IM GONNA KISS YOU SQUARE ON THE FOREHEAD IF I EVER SEE YOU! but in all seriousness thank you so much for this. very concise and right to the point! cheers pal
Thanks! I have plenty of forehead to aim for 😂
