Fix Video Stuttering and Lagging issues in Windows 11/10

- If are facing stutters or lags while playing a video on your Windows 11/10 PC, perform a power cycle on your computer. Shut down your PC, unplug it, wait for a minute, plug it back, and then restart your PC. See if this helps. In case that doesn’t work, you can use the following methods to fix the video stuttering issue:
1] Run Video Playback troubleshooter
2] Ensure that your display/graphics driver is up-to-date
3] Configure video playback settings
4] Update your media player app
5] Repair the corrupted video files
6] Decrease video resolution
7] Switch to Best performance power mode
8] Adjust your graphics settings for your Media player app
9] Enable Software Rendering
10] Turn off Hardware Acceleration (for browsers)
11] Update Widevine CDM Component in Chrome

Thank you, I followed the tips until it was fixed. Just updating my library from the MS store did it. I literally exhausted a few hours of other sites stating this and that. Yours was what my computer -Windows 11- needed.

Recently i installed new ssd to my old pc,but after it its working all good,but the problem is vedio lagging issue ?and its not fixing

my media player is only lagging when i view it but if i press for it to play in the corner it doesn't lag at all or if i send it on for example discord it doesn't lag but only when i view it. is there any way to fix this?

@@Weepz_ It was the same for me. Even the Windows system video HDR setting froze. Method 4 helped me! I updated the CPU driver and it worked! Finally I can watch videos properly. I have a processor from AMD.

I have win10 all stock, 9 year old Dell Latitude.
Home videos played back on windows player
with sound latency, about 250ms or 1/4 of
a second roughly, not good for any kind
of video with motion involved.
I have no noticeable issues though when playing youtube
or amazon prime videos.

I'm having this issue on my Windows 10 PC . It doesn't matter if I'm playing a CZcams video, a video from any website, or a video file on my computer. I click play or click on a video, the audio begins playing, a video shows, but the video doesn't move for about 10 seconds or longer. Any suggestions?

dunno why but its literally just the windows media player thats being stuttery for me
had to update my grapics card. im good now😀

I can tell from the overview none of these are going to fix sluggish youtube, or sluggish youtube while gaming.
Upgraded from windows 10 and chrome doesn't play youtube well, so switched to Firefox. However, whole gaming youtube still drops a ton of frames and has really high latency.
