    I am from Israel. Our Air Force has been operating the Phantom with great success for many years but unfortunately quality photographs like this movie were not his strong side I thank you for the opportunity to see this amazing and beautiful aircraft in HD - clear and powerful

    The F-4, one of my favorite jets, if not THE favorite. I grew up in an air force base in the late 70's to mid 80's that still had those. I used to visit the squadrons there on a daily basis.

      Ronen Magid Hi, I have a question if that's okay with you? It was a USAF base right? What color scheme were the phantoms painted in during the mid-80s (1984 in particular), if you remember? I'm asking for personal research.

    • @jmesha
      @jmesha Před 5 lety +1

      @@majorborngusfluunduch8694 I'm sure this way too late to be any help, but........ My first duty assignment was George AFB, Ca. on F-4s in June 1970. Then it was Phu Cat, RVN, Udorn, Thailand, Holloman AFB, NM, RAF Alconbury, England until Dec. 1978. After that, one more time on F-4s in Osan, Korea from Apr 1983 to Apr 1984. In every case, they always had the same paint scheme as in this video. Note - There was a time when the Thunderbirds Phantoms had the camo paint, but then went to white with red and blue accents.

    Very sad how the F4s are just fading away. It seems like F15s are not far behind. The T33 amazes me. Now few in number, that ancient jet will just go on and on.

      44492611 All jets could go on and on in private hands. The T-33 was lucky enough to have a fair amount of them end up with Airshow pilots. The F-4, F-14, F-15 and a few others who have either recently been retired or have yet to be soon have not been so lucky because of how complicated it is to get these aircraft into private hands nowadays

    • @ti1ion
      @ti1ion Před 2 lety +1

      I know your comment was written a long time ago, but F-14s were not flown like this because they were not used as target drones, like these 2 beautiful planes. See the orange on the horizontal tails? That and their unit ID shows that they were destined to be blown out of the sky to train new pilots. Because it was not their time yet, the Air Force allowed them to be used for publicity and promotion. The F-14 would have been more complicated and more expensive to fly, there were fewer of them, and the government ordered them to be destroyed so that no parts could ever find their way to Iran. Yes, there are some in museums, too.
