- I was last in istanbul 5 years ago and I was really keen to return. This will be my 5th time in Turkey, and it's a country I love and I'm sure I will always return to. This time, however, things are a lot more expensive!! I'm going to try to make the absolute most of it anyway, and in this video I visit some of the main sights including the spice bazaar, the blue mosque and some lesser known places such as a monastery with a sacred spring and a botanical garden. Lots more to come from this amazing country!
also BIG THANKYOU to those who bought me coffee, it's much appreciated!

I’m nimi, a solo traveller from the UK. I love to make videos so I am documenting my journey as I explore other cultures, history and landscapes around the world.
Wow great destination! The streets are so intricate! So much history! ❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉 Cheers!❤❤❤❤
@@TrailStrider909 ahh glad you enjoyed!! ❤️❤️ it’s an incredible city!
Fabulous thanks again. You have a wonderful sense of the most gracious little city parks!
Ahhh glad you enjoyed, thanks so much!😊
Wonderful Nimi, thank you. I'm really enjoying this series of videos.❤
@@oj3888 I’m so glad! Thank you so much ❤️
Another beautiful destination Nimi ❤ The blue mosque so beautiful WOW. I love the street vibe there and it's great you can get food from the vendors on the street, I love that. The gardens were gorgeous and all the animals, how lovely. That little rabbit was giving the hen some grief "get off me" 🤣 I'm so glad you are enjoying your trip, it all looks wonderful and you are making some great memories 🥰 Keep them coming xx
Ahh glad you enjoyed it Lynn! I love street food ❤ I’ve been trying to find a garden in every big city I visit helps to de-stress from the chaos 😂❤
Nice to see you on this adventure. I do like Turkish bread/ The city looks clean.
It is very clean yes 😊❤ thank you for watching ❤
Very interesting place, love the herbal garden - you could do a herbal medicine course perhaps? Good for treating all sorts of things. I am using lemon balm tea to help with mental health and tastes nice as well as doing some good. 😀 Love that bunny 😂
Yes maybe an online course might be a good idea. Lemon balm tea sounds lovely!❤
Love Istanbul!
@@Berylthe-peril it is a wonderful but very busy city!
🧿🧿🧿
You always manage to find oasis without the maddening crowds :)
Yesss I always try, it’s important 😂❤
Lovely to see you looking more rested. Thanks for the tour. So much history in one spot... one of my favourite cities in terms of the history but much of that is sad and war-torn. Once known as Constantinople, it was the capital of the Western Roman Empire for more than 1200 years until the Ottoman Turks ended it in the mid 15thC.
Yesss you are right a place with a significant history! So much to learn about ❤
I often wondered what happened to the white rabbit off Monty Pythons Holy Grail 😊 I would urge you to pursue your interest in plant medicine, just by starting a simple herb garden. As a gardener for 50 years I was lucky to meet a “wise woman “ who put me on the right path from time to time.Keep producing these wonderfully diverse videos 👍
Haha it’s attacking a chicken in Istanbul! 😂 and wow lucky, I hope I get to meet a wise woman one day😅 I already started trying to learn a few bits back in the Uk and foraged for stuff to make tinctures etc . I’ll definitely get into it ❤
Remember the Blue Mosque well!
@@Berylthe-peril good memories? 😁
Stolen land, stolen culture, stolen foods.
