  • This is the 2016 Citroen Berlingo anf for this model year it receives a few tweaks. The Berlingo is a refreshingly honest car in that it doesn't try to disguise that its key purpose is to offer space and practicality. This Berlingo is powered by a 120hp 1.6 litre diesel engine. It claims 64 MPG combined. A vast 675 litre boot is highly usable.
    The new Berlingo also offers a touchscreen infotainment display bringing some more modern technology to this model.
    Can this van with windows compete in the MPV sector?

    ‘Aerodynamic properties of a shed”...love it. Had mine now for 8 years (old model) and used heavily daily with an chair less back for work. A hard working and totally reliable workhorse. The only only major expense in all that time is a new clutch this year. Runs 100% better for it. Thinking of updating, which is why I’m here, but the old tepee (oops, mine’s a Peugeot) will probably be strong for another couple of years or 3. Excellent review. Thanks 👍

    It sure is a great MPV,I be just recently bought the 05 Desire model,I ve bought small cars for years & the Berlingo is so much more comfortable,it's like having a car,camper & van all in one,I am a very happy bunny,hightly recommend you buy a good 2nd hand model,they are cheap & If you need move home,they are ideal,great for pic nics too...
    Long live the Berlingo 😘

    Excellent video skilful camera work and a comprehensive assessment of the Citröen Berlingo Multispace. Should I admit that it encouraged me to go out and buy one!

    Excellent, precise and blessedly unbiassed review. The Berlingo is indeed useful and great value for money.

    They are good but the newer models do not have the great MPG of the earlier 1.6 HDI models, and the 'infotainment unit' is a dog's dinner. It doesn't even have the rotary volume control of the previous unit, and if you try to change it for something better, you lose the functionality of MPG display, reversing camera etc , it is a pain when they lump it all into one unit like that, then make the unit bad (distorted sound, unpleasant to use) This version also has a dual mass flywheel and concentric slave cylinder so potentially less robust and more expensive repair bills than previous model. These cars peaked in the early 2010s then they started to mess with them too much. Nobody wants stupid digital heater controls, even the 2014 had proper mechanical knobs that you could operate without taking your eyes off the road.

    The first reason I would opt for one is because you can still get steel rims, I think these help with ride comfort

    I love this car and I appreciate your unbiased, objective review. I've just found out that Citroen are now supplying this car with the 1.2 puretech engine, which means that I'd seriously consider one as my next car so that I can couple it with an Amdro bootjump and have myself a compact camper that I can use for the daily commute!

      +MrZutzut Did you take one for a test drive? If so how did the engine cope with hauling the Berlingo around?

      I'm considering buying one of these as I want the Amdro boot jump conversion for days out, camping with my grandchildren etc.. Did you go for this combination & if so how has it worked out?

    • @ThePANDA1885
      @ThePANDA1885 Před 7 lety

      Ian Troup I still have a couple of months left on my current lease, so haven't made a decision yet. I still can't find any reviews of the 1.2 engine. I still love the Amdro boot jump but am wondering whether I could fit it in a Toyota Auris hybrid estate.

      Decisions decisions! - I am trying to work out that by the time I have purchased the Berlingo Multi-space & fitted the Amdro Boot Jump & bought the inevitable bits & pieces to go with it I wouldn't be better off with a Nissan NV200 Camper-van from somewhere like Sussex Campervans as this is what I appear to be trying to get to. Saw some on Auto Trader at not too silly prices. At least the thing comes fully configured!

    A well-done, unbiased and informative video of an outstandingly practical vehicle. You should also do one with the ETG if this option is available in the UK.

    • @branimirbozak
      @branimirbozak Před 6 lety

      The seats can fold all the way, and there is rod at the back of the seats, which you pull and then you take out the seat out of the vehicle. I have the XTR version (similar to the one in the video), and it has three separate seats, you can take them out, one, or two, or all three, same goes for folding. The back rest goes down, and then the whole seat rolls to the front, so it's not like in a usual car.
