Growing up we always heard how sex was the way to a mans heart as well as food. I can tell you Im 37 and STILL SINGLE. None of it has got me ANYWHERE pathetically. I would literally sleep with men thinking it was all said to be true and it is a bunch of bullshit lies society tells us. I've ended up hurt everytime. I was always told Im a great girl, why are you single? blah blah yet no one ever wifed me up. Now Im healing from years of hurt and bitterness and shame.

The audacity of men to say we should choose better when we've been told over and over we won't get a relationship unless we give sex. Now I am 43 and on my glow up journey over 40... and I am holding my no sex position firmly. It's they who 'need' that more.

I have been a widow for 2 1/5 years after 29 years of marriage to a wonderful man. I since have had 3 clowns ask me to dinner, of which I declined. But a fourth gentlemen who I met through a friend, asked to a fund raiser, where I met some of his friends and even his son. Then later he invited me to see the Rolling Stones with his daughter. Later on a few other non-traditional dates. And the end, all he ever does is give me a nice hug. Not one of those, squeeze me real tight hugs. We have spent many hours just talking together. I have never met a man like this. But I'm very layback I never call him. I'm not running to check out rings, I'm just watching to see his next moves. So far I really like this man, I respect the respect he has for me. I have prayed about this man, not sure what the Lord has planned for me. But who does?

I was very foolish. At the age of 24. I married a male for all the wrong reasons. After 13 years of wasted time. Three Children.And him having many affairs. He one day told me he was not going to take care of me anymore. He also told me that if we had sex before marriage. He wouldn't have married me. He was at that time involved with a married woman on his job. I also wanted the marriage more than he did. It was a total disaster. I was out of The will of My Heavenly Father. When I married him. Holy Spirit revealed that from day one, he was speaking about not "dying" alone. At the same time, I was speaking of sharing "life" with someone. It was sad that it took me 3.5 years to even see that. But God... Whew, I'm glad that class is over!
3.5 years is too long to be engaged unless your 16 years old. I had a man string me along for 5 years because he was dying & wanted me there but he didn't make good on his promises to marry. Thank the Lord we weren't in sexual sin. It would have crushed me.

You’re so right! Women, we need to have more self respect and don’t let men have it so easy! Being easy, devalues you and therefore, men see us as an object to use. Unfortunately, that’s a harsh truth.
Having intercourse alone does NOT devalue you in the eyes of anyone who isn't blind to your non sexual value. The fault is in men, not in us, that they consider us worthless unless they have to work for us. We are not lands to conquer; we are human just like them. We too want connection and pleasure and this is no crime as rape is. However the creator knew the blind, shallow nature of the male and that is why I think marriage was insisted upon.

Im always shocked by this behavior. This has happened several times. Thanks for the clarity. I know now this is exactly what i face. Soul ties, are definitely a thing.
