I hope I find a loving and supporting husband as well. I’m tired of the kind of men I’ve been entertaining. I worry that I won’t find a good man because I gave my ex a baby 15 months ago. I don’t regret my daughter however. I just hope I find a good man that will love the both of us and that will be a good step dad to a little girl.

I agree with this entire video. I was fortunate to have an amazing father who loved my mother until his last breathe. Although my mom worked, he took care of her. He was her peace. They never had issues. He never cheated, disrespected her or swore at her. My mom took good care of my dad and submitted to him. They both valued each other and were a blessing to each other. Neither one lacked bc of the other. Even being both sick as they got older, sacrificed for each other. It’s very difficult for me to settle with any man bc of witnessing the example I had as a father. And it is also very disappointing to me witnessing what I see in men today.

This morning I was just remembering so many actions that were hurtful -- nothing physical, but no support. No protection. No covering. Thank you Pastor Blakes for your obedience to the Lord.
That's exactly what I got in my marriage that lead to divorce.
I’m single and celibate but I’m not used to being covered even when I was in a relationship so I ended it and put him out. End of story.. 😐
The good part is the self love 💕😘 & respect we ladies are being taught & now know what a quality man looks like with his actions, and vwhat a qualifier man 👞 💪 🌹 😁 to date sounds like with his words to protect, care for, honor, respect & adore 💕 us & not settle for less & his color & cuiture can be different from ours but loving, kind fun, protection 💟🎉.

I never experience love of my father, no affection, no attention, no conversation, no protection. I attract men who ignore me and won't show love or affection. If they do, it doesn't continue or is short lived. Its hard to find or even accept love that feels uncomfortable when you want it so desperately but are always in fear of losing it.
Would you know what love is when you run into it now? Learn what it is so that you will be able to recognize it and learn to leave as soon as you know its not there, leave respectfully. Give more love to people around you and you will get more love attracted you❤

This sounds like my girlfriend relationship with her husband. She said that she didn't love her husband at first, but the way he treated her she felled in loved with him. She said that he was good for her by doing things for her. She said that when they start having children they came to an agreement that they children would come first and now they had been married over 40 years. I was there to witness up and downs but they made it through the hard times. She said that she fears no woman and that sounds like true love under a solid rock.❤❤️❤️
I wish I heard this 20 years ago...I'm 46 now. BUT-at the same time, I know that I wouldn't have been READY to hear this advice- out of stubbornness and naivety. Some people just learn better from their own mistakes.

I was with a really good man who never lied to me,never betrayed me and was always there for me but because I came from a broken home with a highly narcissistic father I thought I did not deserve such love and left the only man who ever loved me...and life showed me that true ,authentic love is rare and hard to find and I ended up in an abusive relationship with a man who lied to me and betrayed me ...something I was used to as a little girl...I know that I have to heal first from my childhood trauma before I can ever get back into a relationship with a good man😊
God spared me, so many of us find ourselves in abusive, narcissistic relationships. Heal, keep it moving, reject regret!

Too many black fathers don't realize the damage they create in the lives of their children, especially their girls. Having a supportive and wise father is one of the best blessings that I have ever experienced. He is next to God and the Holy Spirit! Amen!

This is the message I needed. My husband and I are divorcing and although I am beginning to find acceptance in it, I find I slip into the feelings of rejection and being discarded. We have the most beautiful family so it saddens me to think we weren't enough in his eyes. This message gives me hope and helps me to have vision for something real and authentic.
I feel the same way, not feeling good enough keeps me with him to “try harder” we have a history of him actually telling me I ain’t enough for him and him threatening me with other women, during a high risk pregnancy etc. I need to leave so bad. I been a SAHM for 10 years now, I have nothing and my kids are homeschooled. I don’t even know where to start to dig myself out. I’m so desperate at this point.

I love this because it’s through these teaching and counseling that I was able to see the amazing man that god allowed to walk into my life. I was not looking for it at all. ❤ I'm realizing that there are adult men in my life who have watched me deeply struggling to keep a foundation and watched me being continually threatened and mistreated in all kinds of living situations and have been ineffective in securing any type of long term support, supportive education on buying a home, e.t.c. I have realized listening to this that this is dysfunctional male character and I truly need transformation! Spiritual cleansing, therapy maybe, and to stop turning to the male family members who have been listening but not stepping up to really help me with this foundation building. This was really helpful and revealing. Why are so many men falling short on really protecting and providing and helping the women in their lives become more secure? My brother is providing me a place to stay and I am grateful and I need to make a significant transformation in my entire life and mindset and spirit.

Thank you Bishop for speaking on this because I was missing seeing my father love my mother properly. He was an excellent provider and protector, however he was cold and hard. Later in life, I realized he and my mother did an excellent job! My mother was raised by her grandmother until 7; when her mother came to get her. From 7 my mom took care of 3 children, all under 2; by herself, 24 hours a day. She wasn't allowed to go to school and was beaten regularly for the smallest infractions. Her only escape was marrying my father when she was 15 and he was 25. My father had been living with his single mother; he raised his siblings; putting 2 in college. He had no example from his father about loving your wife and kids . I don't have time to get into what my grandparents' deal was. Throughout it all, they stayed together and raised their children. So my take away is, each generation should learn better and do better. I learned loyalty and a love that didn't have to be spoken, but it was seen and felt. We all should grow in love because love never ends........

Thank you RC for helping me understand the personality of a narcissist. You are also helping me truly see what the love of a man is supposed to be like and should be. All my life I have lived in abuse (as a child seeing my Dad abuse my Mom), and my Dad never showed my sisters and I love like I see the father daughter relationship in some of my friends. I’ve always wanted a true loving relationship from my Dad. My Dad beat on my Mom in front of me and my sisters. We also knew about all his adulterous relationships. But I just wanted to say that you are helping me with so many messed up feelings and relationships with my Dad, etc.
I am finally experiencing this kind of love after being in survival mode for 30 years of my life, let me tell you how hard it is to surrender and not being paranoid about all those attentions my man give me. He told me he just want me to be happy, and he prays for me in addition to being my support and comfort ❤ I love him so much but I’m afraid to lose him because I’ve never been used to this kind of safe love. Our meeting was so unpredictable and we learn to know each other each and every day at a distance. The long distance relationship is hard but definitely worth it when you encounter such a pure hearted person ❤ I thank God everyday for putting this man in my life at a point I needed this kind of energy ✨

Your knowledge is so valuable and deep. My mother is a difficult narcissist and kept me from my father after I was born. He didn’t fight or try to see me; was never around. I met him in my 20’s and the experience was horrible. His wife was rude and disrespectful to me and he did nothing about it. He wasn’t a person I could have looked up to. I was so angry for my mother taking away my decision to know him and decide for myself if I wanted him in my life. It has caused me much heartache and pain trying to find love and support from a good man, but God has used this for His and my good and I’m learning how to make smarter decisions; gaining wisdom and discernment.

I never knew how I was supposed to be loved, I was raped by my father and all men that have come across my life had hurt me in so many ways and I was just being used and abused , Not having a father figure I didn’t figure out how broken I am, but still have faith and a lots of love,

Thank you for your ministry. Twenty-seven years ago, I married a male who is verbally abusive and very distant in every way. He has experienced multiple affairs outside of our marriage. He seems to know how to use women without knowing how to love a woman. I have questioned his sexuality. I have also advised him to get mental therapy. He said that I am crazy. I grew tired of his negativity, so I left him although we are legally married. Too many black males have a difficult time growing up. Please speak on this topic.
