Ps Mark , put lots of bark mulch around your plants it suppresses weeds and retains water in the hot weather
Also bicarbonate of soda is good for feeding plants and old banana skins and egg shells , old orange peels for acid loving plants

You are my spark of joy today, I’m just sitting in my garden listening to the birds with a cuppa, now I can enjoy GFH. Thank you so much for producing joyful content on this channel, it really puts a smile on all our faces at this very difficult time.
Put 2 layers of black weed cover, it's a material that comes in a roll, then mulch or decorative stone on top of that and ye'll have no more weeding, put in Acer corner as well as other beds, it's a biggish job but we'll worth it for the future 🥀🌳🌻🌷

Well done mark & nanny Di but any plant that is grown in a pot & planted out should have the roots teased out to promote a heathy root spread it will take the plant longer to establish if this isn’t done but should still happen just slower . X

I really enjoyed watching this GFH!..The Acer bed looks brilliant Mark & yeah, you did right putting the other one in..Also check online if some garden centres are still selling & delivering..Even though you can't go to the centre you might still be able to buy the plants/flowers you're after on their websites..You'll have to help Nanny Di with the weeding of the big flower bed..It's too much for her to do on her own, bless...Oh & don't forget to get plant food!..

That shot of Toffee at the end!!! That's going to look AMAZING.... it already does! Can't wait to see it in full bloom! My one Japanese Maple is finally back after being brown for the winter. I always worry that it's died and then BOOM the leaves are red again! I'm getting ready to order a bag of enriched soil to put in my little patch for when I plant my veggie seeds in the next few weeks. So funny to think of getting that via delivery vs. just going to Lowes or Home Depot and picking up a bag or two (or 4) myself!
Really helps my mental health watching all your videos, but GFH is very nice and relaxing. Thank you.

Yay...Acer bed looking good...Well done Mark/Nanny Di 👏🏻 Can I suggest perhaps a water feature on the drain cover area finished off by Stephen last year...you would then hear this from the hot tub...perhaps a copper one, with acer style leaves would be really good if you can find one 😊 Btw...Delphiniums come up from the ground each year...the old dead stems can be removed once they have grown enough.
Put down black liner and cover with bark chippings - you won't need to weed again and can cut it round existing plants and cut it for future ones. Game changer.

It's looking good guys, should had given the Acer's a good watching before plants.. I just realised the manhole cover what that for ? Because when the trees start to get bigger so will they roots in 10 to 15 years time you might get drain pipes problem 🥺 but hey the garden taking shape 🍁🍁🍁

Why don’t you put long thin sticks in the garden (like the ones they use for tall orchids) and attach a popsicle stick with glue and string and write the name of plant or bush so you know where they are and what they are for the next year ? 😳
