- Things heated up in Guwahati on Monday afternoon when an inspector got into an argument with a senior police official over illegal parking.
The man, who identified himself as 'Prosenjit' of the Crime Branch, can be seen getting into a heated argument with Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Iftekar Ali near Paltan Bazar. The argument between the cops was captured on camera and the footage is now doing the rounds on social media.

Assam Police's harassment and looting outsiders travelling through Assam is at top level.
Once while I was travelling from Delhi-Nagaland by road everything was okay crossing many different states encountering many different state Police untill I entered Assam. Looting in khaki dress is rampant out there. No offence. Commenting on my personal experience.

Came across Mr Prasanjit of crime branch who was on duty at Mariani town. He was decent enough as an officer who knows his job and does it well. After a casual greeting he let me cross. Had it been other cops then i might have been harassed. This is the exact accent he had when i spoke to him. Found him as a decent officer. Here, he might have found himself on the wrong side, must have been in a hurry.

To all my fellow people travelling through Assam be very careful when on the highway some cop stops you and ask for your pollution certificate and license. They will act like they jot down our car number and check through online and say that our pollution and warranty has expired and will ask for 2000 rs fine. I told them that I will file a case against them since my pollution certificate is up to date , they got scared and let me go. Be very careful of these police, they are robbing innocent travellers on a daily basis. Especially non Assamese travellers.

During on my way travel to shillong,on bus stop i am having my dinner and I saw Assam people r harassing non Assam, yes every state there is good people n bad people too. police was present there, instead of making peace environment n peace between them,the police did ignore.
Every state there is kind people and hatred people too. (i mean good and bad people) yes that's nature not everyone is good or kind .but in Assam i didn't encounter even a single kind person.what a big shame for Assam .
Others state there is atleast majority people are kind, even the police is helpful. They warm welcome.
