    We thought you might like a look at this very clean 1986 Chevy C10 Shortbed Pickup. It's powered by a 454 Big-block, equipped with a Holley four barrel carb and headers. It's a factory A/C truck, with power windows, power locks, power seat, and a nice set of gauges. It's riding on some nice wide American Racing Torq Thrust wheels, with a fairly fresh set of tires. These shortbeds are definitely sought after these days and this is a nice example. Hope you find it interesting, thanks for watching!

    You know how I love my Chevy trucks! a 454 in that thing would make that 85mph gauge pinned pretty darn quick. Great color too! nice!

    Pretty nice looking truck and a torque bomb for an engine. Like those wheels and big wide tires too. They look the business. Thank you.

    Great looking truck, and a 454 to boot. I would toss that PC 85 mph speedometer though.

    I would put in a Small Block and sell the Big Block.

    Ive got a 79 Silverado with a big block 454. I just but on a edelbrock carb and am getting 12-13mpg. Not bad considering I was getting under 8 with the old carb i bought it with. Barely ran, always flooded.

    • @enriquecasablanca5983
      @enriquecasablanca5983 Před 9 lety

      of course I didn't buy it because I was looking to save money on gas….

      Better than a 350 ever dared to get . 7:9 mpg if running like a top. There was some made with corvette heads and a frost mid rise intake manifold that had a air gap under the carb , these 350 were usually in corvette or Impala cars but sometimes they came in pickup truck. My favorite is the 400 small block with a 2 barrel carb . I never had over heating problems with mine. Well 2 Nd favorite. My favorite is the 396/402 class engine with a tri power a rock crusher and a347 posi .perfect balance of power a economy.

    BBC! Yaaaaaaayyyy! I never understood why they didn't put the fuel gauge in one of the small gauge spots. Why would anyone need a fuel gauge that big? Even when I had my 82 Blazer I never understood that.

    • @RamblinAround
      @RamblinAround  Před 9 lety

      BisquikXLT I know, that fuel gauge cracks me up. I think maybe a tach would make a little more sense in that position. I don't know who was responsible for that one.
