The authentic ahadith is a divine revelation from Allah. Allah says, whoever obeyed the Messenger, has obeyed Allah. Without hadith people would pray in any way their desires wish. Rejecting hadith is literally rejecting the commands and teachings of the Prophet s.a.w.
No Suuna = No community, no umma. Allah said: "Let there arise from you a community which calls for good, ordains what is proper, and forbids what is blameworthy.".. Well, for them there is no common basis (Sunna) for the interpretation of the Koran, so how to get everyone to agree? Someone will understand that there are only 3 prayers, the other only 2...One will allow certain things, the other will not. Let's say they agree on someone's interpretation: since they reject the reliability of transmissions of human words, in 100 years they will make another interpretation, surely different from the first because desires will have changed.

A very simple way to refute this Quranist, If you make a mistake in Salah like forgetting to say the first Tasshaud and then you remember on the fourth rakah that you made this mistake, how do you correct yourself ? You know that you did not pray correctly and missed something out, so where do you go from there ? Additonally Allah says " Verily in the messenger of Allah ye have a good example for him who looketh unto Allah and the Last Day, and remembereth Allah much " so if he is the best example how do you follow his example if he is not alive and amongst us now ? The authentic ahadith is a divine revelation from Allah.
Allah says, whoever obeyed the Messenger, has obeyed Allah. There are many verses which Allah ordering the Muslims to Obey the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him.
This movement called Hadith rejector started in India, likewise Ahmadis/Qadianis.
