    If you are cutting down on your sugar intake a great substitute is to make your own sauce (without the added sugar) and add yummy healing spices and veggies.

    Herb First Veggie Spaghetti Sauce Ingredients:
    6 large mushrooms (finely chopped)
    1 med onion (finely chopped)
    1 lrg carrot (shredded)
    2 celery stalks (finely chopped)
    2 cloves fresh garlic (finely chopped)
    1 1/2 cups crushed tomato (1 large can)
    1 tbsp Classic Spice Blend ™(oregano, parsley, basil)
    1 tsp oregano
    1 tsp garlic powder
    1 tsp onion powder
    pinch sea salt
    fresh ground black pepper
    Directions: add 2 tbsp grapeseed oil to a Dutch oven and heat, once heated add dried spices to the oil and sauté until fragrant, then add mushrooms, onions, carrot and celery and cook until veggies are tender, then add fresh garlic & sauté until fragrant (about 3 min) (this prevents the fresh garlic from burning).
    Then add crushed tomato and bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer for 30-60 mins.
    Place on top of spaghetti noodles and serve with herb first breadsticks.
