  • Landing my RV-9A on runway 31L at RHV. I found out that I was too high so I had to briefly slip.
    I have a fixed pitch Catto prop and a 160 hp O-320.
This video is just to document how I fly my airplane. I am not an instructor and your mileage may vary.

I like to cross the numbers at 70 knots or slightly less in my 9A. Sometimes she floats for ever depending on the strength on the headwinds. Cheers and blue skies.

    Hey Kelly,
Nice video. Noticed your sun visors. Look good. Did you purchase or fabricate?

Somebody on vansairforce.net was making and selling them several years ago.

What is your prop diameter and pitch? Is it considered a climb or cruise prop? What climb rate are you seeing? What about cruise speed and fuel burn? Empty weight? Thank you sir!
