1.11 Update (11/9/2023): Harm events by default only target AI. Odds of surviving are increased (e.g. 80% fail / 20% succeed to 40% fail / 60% succeed). Overall chance of getting harm event reduced. So you don't need to worry about this option anymore, it's an optional, masochistic, game setting.
Wow I’ve been deep diving into tutorials for this game and after watching at least 20 I must say this for sure is one of the most comprehensive ones I’ve watched
Thank you for the kind words! I hope it flowed ok, I tried to condense it and keep it flowing so you wouldn't need to google this and that
how does he go from 4 to 6!
@@brandonmartin5785 He got a wife & select her to manage domain.
Yo bro I just got the game couple of days ago and saw many tutorials but urs is the best to be honest, keep it homie , a well deserved sub
Thank you for your kind words and support! That really means alot :)
Comprehensive indeed! Literally been thinking about playing this game for a minute, and this convinced me. Thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for the comment, I hope the flow was fine and sorry I couldn't condense (imo) it further!
Love the breakdown of everything. Keep it up 👍
Appreciate it!
Great tutorial for beginners. I hope you keep it up. That's a sub :)
Thanks for the sub! I'm working hard on the follow up Ireland->Britannia video. I didn't realize filming and editing would take so many hours versus the time to play the game is only a fraction. If there's any topic(s) you'd like me to cover, just let me know!
Very helpful tutorial. Look forward to more vids
Thank you for the nice comment!
Thanks for making these! I picked it up on sale and knew it was supposed to be really good, but have had a hard time getting into it. Wanted to get to know it better, much appreciated!
Thank you for the kind words! I'm glad it helped you out :) Let me know if have any specific questions!
Woot. JUST bought this game, lookin for good tutorial. Impeccable timing.
Thanks for your comment! I hope you enjoy the game as much as a I do. It's a great game that is intimidating to get into but not too bad once you get it down and you'll be able to replay this game a lot :)
@@breadgodgaming shamefully, I already bought two DLC lol. I'll for sure give this guide another listen. This game is so THICC lol.
No shame at all! I’m a total simp and buy them day 1 even before I decided to try content creation. It’s one of my favorite games ever! Which ones did you get?
@@breadgodgaming northern lords and royal Court. I fell for the throne room stuff as soon as I saw screenshots. Now I just have to win a kingship.
@@donc7664 nice! northern lord is my favorite and royal court is really fun too! let me know if you need any help!
Your tutorials are the best out there, really amazing work.
Thank you for the kind words!
Great Tutorial. I have near 3000 hours in CK3 and I learned a few things. I love how detailed and comprehensive your videos are. Please keep it up!
Thank you for the kind comment! I hope to improve with every video!
your videos are veryyyyy informative! you definitely deserve more views
Thank you for the kind words :)
Best Beginner's Guide on Crusader Kings by far. Great job and thank you very much. Keep up the good work. Deus Vult!
Thank you for your kind words!
Good tutorial for my smol brain. Looking forward to more content 💦
Thank you! I'm working on different follow up paths like going for emperor, etc
Amazing guide BreadGod, It was so enjoyable to watch your video. You made me love CK3 even more. I was getting beat up when my succession came to power. Thank you. Liked & Sub 😀
Thank you so much for the kind message! I'm glad you enjoyed the video!
Oops! I guess I'm a little thick headed. I thought the first attempt to revoke title is enough so I did that, fought, imprisoned the earl. I was happy I controlled Ormond so i ransomed him. Noticed he's back in charge. Rinse and repeat. Except i executed him. Ah.. Rinse and repeat with his heir. Then i revoked his title in actuality. Lessons learned but once I took Desmond in at - 50 for tyranny 😅
The game is complicated and takes some time to get used to, I couldn't get past 1 county because I didn't even know what a casus belli was. 1 year later I picked the game back up and I think they polished their tutorial so I finally learned how to conquer land haha.
How is your run going so far?
I'm sorry I've never played on a console so I won't be 100% familiar
@@breadgodgaming Thanks for the encouragement! I started my second attempt today and I made myself the High King of all of Ireland. I was going to get the first succession law change but my first character died and I'm going to have to figure out how I'm managing the fractured country.
I would say playing on console definitely adds a level of difficulty. But with good guides like yours I'll get there.
Nice job! Were you going to get the partition succession law? If you can get election law on your duchy titles your heir will inherit the titles.
@@breadgodgaming I used tanistry in Ulster and Munster. I lost the High King title for a generation but got it back. I got a piece of Scotland and lost all but one county. I got kingdom of Wales except Denmark held one duchy. I lost most of that with no idea what happened 😆
Now I have a relatively weak ailing king of Ireland who inherited at the age of fifty. For some reason my player heir switched from his son to his brother so there will be two short reigns back to back. Turns out my strongest, wisest character was his father's brother a bastard 😅
It's a fun and surprising game! And at least I've held those two duchies and have managed to keep the High King elections in my favor for a few generations. There's still a lot to learn.
S tier tutorial
Thank you for the kind comment!
Nice
Awesome video!! Much love for it. Could you also make a full walkthrough with any ruler similar to this please? (not fast forwarded one - possibly growing above King ranks )
Thanks for the kind words! For fast forwarding do you mean how I played at speed 5 and / or skipped some years towards the crusade / after kingdom was made? Is what you are thinking like an almost uncut playthrough from count to emperor that basically shows every year? I made the video in chunks so that I could cover topics but does this make it seem un-cohesive? Thanks for the feedback! I feel like this video is too long, even haha
@@breadgodgaming "uncut playthrough from count to emperor" exactly, there no such content anywhere to be found, only stream walkthroughs ( with a loooot of chatting that is not CK3 related) or fast/skipped scenes ones. I loved how you explained why you do this and why you do that in this video.
have to say that it was pretty accurate and good video of that game, thx man. Love that when ppl speaks their own voice and dont try to act anything "funny", kinda rare these dayz😎
I’m glad you enjoyed it! I’m not a funny person so instead I try to be an informative person haha
.... *goes into settings. Sets it to "Action Lock", which I definitely knew was a thing*
Great video
The only small criticism I have is that it could have used a general introduction to the franchise
Thanks for watching and for the feedback! that’s a great point I totally dropped the ball on that Im sorry >_>
Very helpful! Thank you! Just got the game yesterday on ps5. A bit clunky on console but I'm glad it's an option these days to play good strategy games.
Thanks for the support! I’m glad you found it helpful. The only thing I know about console is it slightly lags behind Pc in terms of updates and release but overall it plays similar. The biggest difference I think is that there’s an auto battle feature, which id recommend not using as the AI isn’t the greatest
@@breadgodgaming Thanks for the reply! I didn't know there's an auto battle mode. So that would mean AI moves the armies around the map? I noticed the first hurdle playing on ps5 has been to figure out the controls as they are far from intuitive, extremely clunky even when you begin to figure it out. Combined with the complexity of the game and how it differs on a fundamental level from most strategy games makes it quite acquired taste. I'm hopeful the awesomeness of it continues to outweigh the frustrations 😅
It's been sixth months, how are you doing? How is CK3?
Hey there! Thanks for asking! I have to admit I ran out of steam with the game quite early. Maybe I'll check out some of your other guides and give it another go at some point. I see you have a Scandinavia video and I was thinking of trying a Finnish start at some point.
Ah I didn't intend to apply any pressure! I just wanted to check in with you since you were one of my first viewers and I can't believe it's been 6 months, it has been a wild ride. If you do need any help, just let me know :) Wishing you the best
Another great tip would`ve been to introduce the console. There`s no need for people, especially the impatient ones, to go through paradox game developers personal mental issues = the event systems and it`s cursed events... You can just undo most of them through the console, that way you could, potentially, have a decent game as opposed to this arcade, moronic, semi - immature carnage of a game you have (even more so with all the dlcs)
Thanks for the comment. There are a lot of things that need patching and streamlining. The console is a great tool but I only use it to check mechanics otherwise I find that I enjoy the game less.
I wish there was a setting to make text bigger. I sit about 10ft away from my 80in tv and everything is small lol 😅
Thanks for watching, sorry about the small text! I try to zoom in as often as I can but fear that it’ll be confusing without the whole picture.
@@breadgodgaming na not you, in the game lol 😆
You're doing great 👍🏻 no complaints here
Recently brought the game on sale for my last campaign with rukik. Went badly once my original ruler died.
What happened? It takes many games to start getting the hang of it. There’s so many mechanics to learn, worry not :) my first game I never made it past count
@@breadgodgaming is there a good way to deal with alliances as I got a issues where I accepted all the wars because I didn't want to lose a level of fame. It ended up dragging me into too many wars. I got overwhelmed and lost battles.
You can accept the wars and just not help them. If they require assistance, at the very least you can go siege something for a few days with a few troops and immediately return to get yourself just a little war contribution.
Other than killing one of the persons in the marriage tying you two together or the ally ruler, there's no way to break an alliance :(
Generally, I would use the minimum amount of alliances possible and instead marry for genetics / good courtiers or knights.
