  • ‘A Different Perspective’ was written and directed by Sixth Former, Sienna. The video centres on what is ‘perfect’ and the thousand perspectives of what could be considered perfect, and argues that we do not all need to feel ‘perfect ‘to feel worth or self-value.
The video has been created to mark #WorldDownSyndromeDay, and features Sienna with her younger sister, who was born with Down’s Syndrome; Sienna argues that this condition does not make her any less perfect in her eyes.
Sienna’s descriptive and compelling piece was written for the Rotary Club’s national annual Young Writer Competition 2018. Tasked with writing approximately 500 words on the theme of perspectives, Sienna won the District and National round to become the overall competition winner.
The video is a combination of efforts by Guildford High School and Sienna’s family to bring her written piece to life. It was produced in partnership with the Down’s Syndrome Association and 21&Co.
