    Great complement to your part 1 video. The fact that you took the time to make these videos says a lot about what kind of a dealer you are: not just interested in a quick sale, but interested in a long-term relationship with your customers. Just the kind of dealer I want to do business with. Again, I sure wish I lived closer to TN,

    One more thought / suggestion, since you asked, please explain the importance of ballast, especially if you’re doing loader work. Adequate ballast goes a long way, especially in sub-compact & compacts. The amount of ballast recommended by the manufacturer is often way higher than folks imagine - often by hundredS (capital S intentional) of pounds. Ballast is so important that i know of some dealers won’t let you drive home your new (or new to you) tractor until you pass the quiz on how much ballast you need for the kind of work that you’ll be doing. Kinda like can’t drive your new truck away til you prove you have insurance. Two choices: 1) have the right combination of ballast, or 2) have a great life insurance policy.

    GREAT VIDEO!!! Keep them coming sir. I know that for some of us older guys that have been around tractors for years most is common sense, but we don't know it all. This information is invaluable to the new tractor owner. What you have covered in part 1 and 2 dealers or sales reps don't take the time to explains. They make the sell, hand the keys, and pray they don't have to talk to you again once they receive the commission. KEEP IT UP! Can't wait to see what's next!

    Mike,
    I first saw you in one of the TYM package videos and thought I would like to buy from you, but by the time I decided to buy all the 494 packages were gone, I’m working withTyler on just the tractor now.
    As someone that has never sat on a tractor, but just bought a tree farm everything in this video is like gold to me. Keep it up, even if it seems like common sense to you. You’re helping newbies like me.

    YA' know; you gotta respect a guy who takes the time out of his own responsibilities to feel the need to share all of these issues and possible events and facts about the possibilities of endangerment. If I were buying a tractor, or equipment, or implements and I were in his surrounding servicing area, I would definitely find myself seeking out this gentleman and bouncing my possible tractor, equipment, and implement needs off of him before wandering through countless Dealership yards and listening to multiple sales pitches from God knows who for whichever tractor (color) is best and/or which and/or what and/or why.
    Information is the power to influence, especially when commonly spoken by someone in "common terms for common people, and for common needs for a common cause." No fluff, just straight at it....
    "Here is what I have," is what the man says, and "here is when it is possibly available, and how much it should reasonably cost," "and hey, I'd like to put something together for you if I could; so just give us a call at one of our locations" (is what Mike says). Enough said. Great information for those who do not have experiences with operating tractors, equipment, and implements and as well, great information for even those who actually do have experience, but tend to ignore common sense on many events sometimes.

      In addition, especially on a gear drive tractor, put it in gear after you shut it off. I've had the brake release on its own. Fortunately I was able to hop on while it began to move and was able to stop it from rolling downhill.

    You could talk about connecting PTO shafts, especially when used in conjunction with the drawbar. If the implement shaft length is not correct for you tractor, it is possible to push the PTO shaft in to the transmission.

    Mike ,😎 you sir are awesome, I always enjoy watching your videos. Great points on all your details. Us up north also need to make sure our fuel is treated with anti-gel in and tanks kept filled to the brim during the cold months I also personally make sure to top off all equipment tanks after each use. For fuel storage our transfer take is an aluminum 90 gallon in the back of a 1 ton with post pump in-line clear case filters with a 30 micron water and separator in the first stage and a 3 micron in the 2nd stage. We do use a lot of diesel on our farm so I understand the expense of my setup is not for everyone.

    One exception for wearing a seatbelt... when you're operating around waters edge on a body of water leave the seat belt off. If you happen to slide off the bank into the water you'll probably panic when trying to find the release buckle while under water.

    With my backhoe attached for ballast my forklift pallet attachment on my loader on my c.k. 2610 I can carry two 12 to 15 ft 20-inch diameter logs and if I keep them down low and drive at a normal safe speed I can move them around and the back of the tractor doesn't Rock very much at all even on on even ground as long as I move slowly in 4-wheel drive I have no problems

  • @ervinbrew
    @ervinbrew Před 2 lety

    Thanks again. Have you experienced when lifting a heavy load, only one side lifts. This happened the other day and it twisted the tractor. It was a pallet that was evenly loaded

    • @LSE_TRACTOR
      @LSE_TRACTOR  Před 2 lety +1

      No. Never. That should be a concern. Make certain that there are no loader lines kinked. Also, if it continues, I would uncouple the hydraulic lines and switch them. Then you can see if the same problem happens on the other side. If so, the line or coupler could have failed or be clogged. Additionally, check the loader hydraulic cylinders for seal leakage.
