    Great, great useful video! I’ve been trailering for years & still learned a thing (or three). I mostly watched it because of your other videos that indicate what an honest knowledgeable man you are. Great job demonstrating that you’re not just interested in makin a sale, but also interested in developing a relationship with your customers - and concerned about their safety and satisfaction. I sure wish there were tractor dealers like you in my area.

    I've actually added trailer jacks that flip to the back of trailers for walking them when unhooked, they can also catch some of the motion if driving on.

    Great instructional video. I prefer to use two chains in the back to prevent the tractor from moving side to side, as the D-ring shackle that the single chain is passed through can allow the chain to slip through it. Yes a third chain and binder is required, but safer, in my opinion.

    I think also important to note, that a separate chain must be used to tie down any implements that are not connected to the loader or three point hitch systems. DOT rules I believe. Very nice and helpful video for us newbie’s.

    Nice job, Mike. This is info that a person just won't know until someone explains it to them.
    Now, can you give a quick overview of how to learn to back a trailer properly?
    Take care and God Bless.

    You can't run that chain through the loader, it must be to the frame front and back, then you can use a strap to hold down the loader, you can't rely on the loader to hold the tractor. If the DOT sees that, you'll get a ticket quickly.

    Good video Mike. Some trailers come with integral stands on the back so you can stabilize the beaver tail. You have anything heavier than a 7k trailer?

    Enjoyed watching your video and not to be a critic but a clevis and a shackle are alot the same.The difference is a clevis has a bolt and a nut a shackle has a pin.

    Thanks Mike. What about trailering a Kioti cab tractor? Should it be loaded front or rear-facing? Is it OK to trailer a cab tractor at highway speeds?

  • @brooster87
    @brooster87 Před rokem

    Great Mike. Question, what gear do you leave to tractor in on the trailer if it’s a shuttle or hydro? Does it matter.

    • @LSE_TRACTOR
      @LSE_TRACTOR  Před rokem

      In a manual transmission, the range selector should be in LOW and the transmission selector in First. A HST doesn't really matter. Anything but Neutral.

    In most states you need four chains four binders and four separate places to hook the chains on the tractor. And a separate binder and chain for the loader. I’m not saying this to find fault but rather to save people trouble! In Connecticut they just ticket n tow you no questions asked if you don’t correctly chain your tractor. Just saying!!!

    That loading without ramps is absolutely the stupidest thing I have ever seen the truck will come off the ground and even though you got your trailer shocked there's a possibility it could roll and just think what it's doing to that hitch on the trailer and the truck what if it comes loose I actually use jack stands placed under the trailer just in front of the ramps to keep my truck from bearing all the load most people with any Common Sense use wood blocks but I found that jack stands work pretty good but I also keep my wood blocked just in case this was a great video I watched it twice I just wish it had a had a little bit more on placement of the tractor on trailer I had a bad experience with bobcat for the first didn't load Bobcat to the front of trailer lost control of the truck everything looked good truck had a good Squat and thought I was set to go but when truck hit 50 Mi an hour maybe 52 somewhere around there I lost control and went into the other lane nothing I could do about it it happens so quick I didn't touch the brakes I just let it slow down on its own and everything straightened out I think if I had hit the brakes would have had some trouble but luckily no one was coming
