Best part of this scene when he finds the spices with the east India trading label is that if you remember when they are looking for the pearl they come across a guy who trades apices with the people of this island for some delicious salt pork lol I wonder what body part he was getting.
He says “long pork” which is a term used for human meat, so either the guy knew he was eating human flesh or just didn’t know what the phrase “long pork” meant 😂
As funny as this scene is, you can hear the desperation in gibbs voice as the cannibals chase jack, it shows how much of a friend he is to jack and that him and jack have a better friendship than jack and Barbossa
Same here. So memorable. I remember watching it in theater when I was 12. The whole audience was laughing so hard when Jack was running away a bunch of cannibals 🤣🤣🤣
This scene looks far better here than in the movie, where it's intercut with The crew's escape and it dumps too much information to take at once and becomes jarring. Hope it was edited better
The dog appear in at world end though. When it bring the key for Captain Teague, Jack’s Dad even Black Pearl crews react to the dog manage to survive on that island.
The next POTC film is supposed to be featuring a female Jack Sparrow, well Disney I would say good luck but it would be pointless as your going to need a fucking miracle.
These movies are so atmospheric and memorable. They really were ahead of their time with the effects and overall art direction
