The Tom Nook part at the end is totally fictional for the video but the Blathers part in the middle is almost exactly what he says in game when you try and give him a fake. I added to it a little! :)

FUN FACT: In japan culture the kitsune (fox) are known for their trickery. Even better, Tom Nook is a Tanuki. Kitsunes and Tanukis can be seen having wars in Japanese culture, making Tom Nook’s rivalry with Redd all the much greater!

redd should start appearing more often now btw. in the last they basically changed the schedule of when which villagers will come. basically if you don't see redd on your island this week, he'll be more likely to come next week. you just gotta check your secret beach everyday (especially if you don't see any other roaming NPCs on your island) :D
Actually you don’t need check your secret beach every day, if you have your map on, which you can turn on with your Nook Phone, you can see if Redd is there, it will have a icon that looks like his boat flag, yep, it’s that easy, tell me if you want more advice
I used to get scammed all the time by this fox! His backstory is really interesting though.

A fan Of pepole He basically scammed the hell out of Tom Nook with a Get rich quick scheme Causing him to Almost go bankrupt Or at least that’s what I heard

@@afanofpepole9898 Basically tom nook and redd used to be friends and ran a company together, when tom moved to the city with redd to expand their business redd betrayed tom nook and stole all his money (and he ran away). Then he became bankrupt, adopted timmy and tommy and started his new business all alone.
The accent is definitely a British man's impersonation of a Brooklyn accent.

as the person who runs into fakes more then real in terms of animal crossing paintings (i’ve legit filled the fossil spot before i ever even get 5 paintings, which still happens with new horizons for me sadly, i wish i had an easier time reading those fakes) it’s basically him saying “oh sorry man, this is fake, we can’t take this and put it up”

it's tom nook the racroon but red scams you for a painting and i never played animal crossing.
Due to localization in English versions of animal crossing Nook is called a raccoon when he actually is a tanuki, or raccoon dog. But yeah Redd is a scam artist
