Thank you for the information your breakdown and delivery is very professional, you are cute btw. Having said that i am shocked the cost of living is very similar to Malaysia and some people from Myanmar look like Indians.
Whity is the best presenter in Eat sleep Yangon. Her presentation is simple and very clear. Good job Whity 👍 keeping up 💪 you're the best of best 👏🌷🌷🌷
Whity did a really good job presenting the cost of living in Yangon. Yangon is a great place to live for anyone with any budget.

Here is a quick tip, try to find a good tourist guide. In some popular places, local shops might overprice their products.
Fact: if she doesnt look good, there will be next to zero comment.

I love Yangon! I got to travel all through Myanmar last year. It was my most favorite country in all of Asia!
@Mr Twister Absolutely. We never felt unsafe. Everyone was friendly and happy to see us enjoying their city. The food is remarkable. There aren't many opportunities to have Burmese food in America, so I had never tried it before going. I was so impressed. The food is simple, yet bold and always delicious. The prices are very reasonable. There are certain times where you may feel like people are taking advantage of you, and you may be right. We experienced this on bus and cab rides, but were very pleased with the treatment from food vendors. The vendors are there for the people of the city, not for tourists, so the food is authentic and fairly priced.
If you get the opportunity to go, you should definitely go. I can't wait to go back.
@@RoachéCoaché I'm frm Burma Yangon.. i miss my country. Thank u for saying nice things

I had worked in Yangon 8 months. Really missing Yangon! Especially the people there, they have so pure heart. Wish someday could go back.
Wonderful video ! Charming lovely presenter. Thank you Whity. This was precise and concise; exactly what I was hoping to see. Please
keep these videos coming.
Hello Dave, Thanks for your kind comments which I am sure Whity will appreciate.
The information in this video was extremely informative and helpful. Also, the presenter was so personable and easy to understand. Thank you for producing this video - I am very appreciative!
Thanks for this video. We visited Myanmar 2 years ago and loved it. Your English is amazing!
I had a chance to visit Myanmar (yangon and thilawa) for eleven days. I love the people, the food and even the owner of the hotel that we stayed was surpisingly very nice. She even drove us around the city! The prices are very cheap too. The only problem i had was the language barrier. I surely miss Myanmar!
Whity, you and your video are both very refreshing! Thank you!

Very helpful information, and the presentation was awesome (and adorable). Maybe my favorite video so far.
Thanks for the comment, Carl. We certainly tried to make this video special by filming it in many locations etc so I am happy you like it.
That was a great analysis for the cost of living in Yangon. Thanks! Really Good Breakdown.
what a great video. Simple explanation of costs, thorough, and covered the basics.
very informational video as always,,,the calculation are very precise....thanks for sharing again..
Thanks for commenting.
This lovely lady presents this so well . One of the best presentations I've seen from somebody who is local . Most excellent .
Good job in putting together the breakdown for cost of living in Yangon. However, there's one category missing, health care/medical expenses. Granted, you're not going to get ill every month but it would be helpful to give approximate costs for hospital charges and/or doctor's fees in case one does get sick. I know neighborhood clinics can be found everywhere in Yangon and doctor's fees in these clinics are quite reasonable. Of course, they can treat patients with only minor ailments, for serious injuries or sickness one would have to be hospitalized.
I'm surprised nobody brought this up in the comments, I guess everybody was focusing on Whity's qualities!
Hi Cho Sett, you are quite right the cost of Medical Insurance is something everyone wanting to stay in Yangon for an extended period should consider. We did actually film a segment with Whity where she explained why we did not include medical expenses in the video. This was planned for the end of the video. But unfortunately my camera was out of focus when we filmed this so I chose not to include it. Instead, I reckoned - like you - that people would bring it up in the comments and I would explain it there. Basically, the reason we didn't quote prices for medical insurance is that it varies too greatly from person to person considering age and other circumstances. Therefore putting an "average" cost for medical insurance would not be very reliable, in my opinion.
Great Video - Simple and to the point. Whity was outstanding as usual👏
Thanks for the comment, John.
One of the most informative videos I have seen in a while
So EXPENSIVE, I'm also migrant living in Jakarta (Big Metro in Indonesia) living in super decent apartment only cost me $ 1.500 a year for studio type, decent meals only $ 1, restaurant $ 5, beer $ 1, transport in the downtown os free, night out $ 10 entry free first drink (cocktail), data internet $ 10 for $ 20 Gig Thank God Indonesia is lower living cost but I love to visit Yangoon for travel dream
I love her English accent , also I love Myanmar and planning to visit it someday ,Thank you for this helpful information , Respect and love from Egypt
سلام كيف الحال ....هيا ندهب الى هناك في زيارة سوف تكون رحلة شيقة جدا
Excellent Vlog. Whity is talented, speaks very good English & her presentation style is clear and charming. Yangon is sure a retirement option, especially for those who like Burmese culture.
Yes it could be a very good retirement option but the Burmese government has to change their visa rules to make it easier for foreigners to come here to live. It would be good for the Burmese economy.
Excellent video and great information Whity ! ! You are great !
What a well-organized, helpful video! Thanks for posting!
lovely and smart guide with a great english!! thx for the overview!
Great presenter. Smooth, fluent and lovely voice.
WOW, what a great presentation. Watching this video made me want to move to Myanmar!
If you're in Yangoon definitely go to the main Temple. Absolutely stunning place. Also take a trip on the local train. It can do a full circle of the city if they have finished the upgrade otherwise just take it to the end of the city line and back again. It cost something ridiculous like $0.20 Best part of my stay there last July. Burmese are just fantastic people.
I enjoyed this video! Informative and FUN! Myanmar 🇲🇲 is GORGEOUS!!! I’d be SO HONORED to visit! -j
Nice job Whity! Very comprehensive, succinct and probably the most in-depth cost of living video I’ve seen on CZcams. You’re amazing Whity and your English ability is outstanding.... are foreigners allowed to buy cars, bikes and or own apartments?
You make excellent videos all the time...especially this video was too good because it gives the total idea about the cost of living. The presentation was super superb by Ms. Whity. personally I will be visiting Myanmar in the month of October 2019, before leaving watching all your videos again and again. Thanks for making such informative videos .
Thanks for your kind comments which both I and Whity appreciate. It is very gratifying to read comments such as yours and it motivates us to make more and better videos.
I lived in yangon for a year! I moved to an international school and i agree with you!

You have an excellent level of English and good luck for Vlogging 🙏🏼
Yey... what's King's star sign and favourite colour?

Great job Whity, I like how you provide cheaper options.
Because of your excellent presentation Whitty, l now have Myanmar on my trip list. You are an excellent presenter.
Outstanding presentation, professional and comprehensive yet succinct.
Very nice presentation of this guide Whity. I liked her English speaking skill. I wish her success.
Whity is engaging, entertaining and Informative. I am sure you are a good director as well and set the scene up in consultation with Whity. I thank you for the uploads and each video I feel more comfortable about visiting the country and the city of Yangon. You make it an easy fit. Also - Whitey your English is so good I forgot it is your secondary language - and I would classify you as FLUENT , your mom and dad must be proud of how well you did in the English classes, also you grasp well those American colloquialisms - "Hole in Your Pocket" that was good. I hope you both keep up the good work.
Thanks for your kind comments. I am happy to know you find these videos useful.
Applause! Very professional and pleasant to watch! The hostess is charming!👏👏👏👏🇺🇸

I know I would love Yangon if I got a chance to visit. The Burmese people that I worked with in Indianapolis were very kind and extremely hard working.
I hope whatever issues the good people of Myanmar face are soon resolved.
This guide was awesome as are all the ladies from ESY.

Whity definitely Ambassador of Myanmar, all video presentation truly awesome 😊
Very well explained. Thank you!
Very informative, well presented....good job
Im always been to myanmar at least twice a yrs..love that country and slot of natural place to visit
This young lady is articulate in narrating , and her command of the English language is excellent, and even better than some of the English youngsters in the U.K.This is an admirable quality and skill , and if the right door opens for her, she should apply to represent her country in the banking world, or even at the Burmese Embassy in the U.K. or USA. She deserves every success and good fortune in her career and life in general.
Excellent English with a pleasant and informative manner, this video was very well done
Excellent video production value!
I like all your videos it's realy good and help full thank you very much to give me lots of information mingalarab
Very good video.well explained..many thanks lovely lady....
Very nice info, I have never considered living in Yangon but now I am!
I love this country! From Vietnam 🇻🇳💞🇲🇲
🇲🇲i love Vietnam too 💞🇻🇳
Hey, I love Vietnam cause I can work and live there as an American. can I do the same in this country?
Mi Horrorshow I don’t see many Americans in Myanmar, only tourists. Maybe Myanmar is a bit difficult to live if you come from developed nations
Nice
Very good. Wow. I'm an Asian, for one minute watching and listening to your video wow. You're intelligent and simple. Keep it that way. I'm watching your video two devices at the same time.
What's surprised me about the Yangon was the rent, it's outrageous.
?
Yes the rents are ridiculously high
Rent is cheap, for a capital city. Though I guess you mean relative to local income levels? Well, not many locals live in a Western-style condo in the capital! Rent in Yangon is *very* cheap for those with Western money.
@@vagabondvibes2578 Still very high price comparing neighboring countries.
Bangkok best areas 1br 600 to 1000 us

Thanks Michael
Very knowledgeable host, very pleasant attitude with excellent English. Beautiful smile and very polished gal. Very classy indeed.
Very informative great video thanks...look forward to visit Yangon 😍👏🏻
Thanks for this informative video,fantastic !!!!! 👍👍👍👍👍🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Interesting comparison to other neighboring countries. There are certainly cheaper options available but as facilities become more available one would hope prices reduce slightly. So well presented in fluent English... a pleasure to watch the vlog. Thanks for this one. Bushyboy Oz.
Hi Ewen, yes currently the thing that is driving up costs in Yangon is housing. Yangon just doesn't have a lot of modern housing stock compared with Bangkok for example. That is changing and as more condominiums are built rents will begin to go down. If rents in Yangon were at Bangkok levels then it would be a cheaper option than Bangkok overall.
Great informative video. Thanks for sharing.
Very informative video... Liked it indeed.
Very professional tour of Yangon Whity! :)
Wow very nice information thank you 🙏
Whity is very good to look at and very good to listen to. She is most charming.
Superb explanation with smile. Keep it up
Moving to Hlegu to volunteer in two weeks. Nice to hear cost of living in Yangon - thank you
Great video guys, well done!
Very helpful information. Thank you.
Thanks Leo
Whity gives an excellent commentary , she is clear , to the point and a natural presenter. Myanmar appeals to me , I would try the street food as it looks amazing. Very inexpensive , esp compared to Europe , N America and Japan especially. Apart from the culture and food , a big draw for me would be the Thein Phyu Stadium in Yangon , for the Lethwei !!
beautiful video ! I like to visit Yangon one time .
Have a nice sunday to you !
Thanks Gilbert - you have a nice day too.
Good Content! Thank you for sharing. Like & Subscribed.
Very useful information, thank you! 🙏
Nice video. It will be very helpful for foreigners who want to live in Yangon.
Thus is the first video about Myanmar I'm watching. .
Thank you for a great video. Your English is very good, especially your use of idioms.
Please, if possible, make a video to cover health care and residency visa for thos who may wish to retire to Yangoon.
Thank you for this insighful video, most helpful.👍
Very well done video. Nice to see that you had a camera person
Myanmar is becoming the next Thailand or Vietnam. this place is beginning to grow its economy.
Yangon and Bangkok/Ho chi Minh are two different beasts though. I find Yangon way more expensive for what it is. You have to spend a lot more to get the same quality of accommodation that of bkk or hcm
Yes Thailand is failing.
Michael Moe yeah I was a bit suprise that Myanmar is a low income country but things arent really cheap. Maybe tourists are a little overcharged
Huy Giang some hotels may have different rate for local and foreigners, but majority of them don’t. Restaurants with proper menu don’t have different pricing. One time, I enquired a hotel in northern state as a local, and they still quoted the same price as their website which is 500usd/night. With that price, I might as well fly all the way to Nepal and see Himalayas up close.
Michael Moe very well said. Also their food is not that cheap but the quality is unacceptable compared to Vietnam or Thailand. As a Vietnamese, I cannot eat the local Burmese food and even their KFC tastes strange. But the local people are super nice
