Irish primary school teacher reacts to NFL best team plays of the 2019 season. I am not a massive fan of the sport but I have tried over the last few seasons to watch more. I’m a New York Giants fan! Which team do you support?

Weird, I thought I posted a request for you, but I can’t find it, so sorry if I’m repeating myself. Notre Dame is a university steeped in tradition, especially around their football program. For instance, their helmets have always been plain gold to mirror the golden dome on the university campus, and they mix real gold in with the paint whenever they get repainted. They have green jerseys that they only wear for very special occasions. Before every game, each player touches the “Play Like a Champion Today” sign on their way out field. Theres so much more. As an Irish/American, i am so stoked that you are interested in this storied football team! That’s awesome! There’s a video that gives a summary of their history that you might like. A bit about Edelman and why he's utilized for trick plays that have him pass: He was a quarterback throughout the entirety of his college career at Kent State, he converted to wide receiver when he got drafted by New England. It also explains why he has such phenomenal sense with his route running
That Wilson to Lockett throw and catch has a less than 1% change of success. It might not be immediately obvious how hard that was but Wilson threw it on the run off his backfoot to the ONLY 20cm space it could have gone to be caught.
Lockett then grabbed it and got both feet in the in zone while stretched out. The full body awareness required for that is straight up crazy.
I just rewatched it again! It’s crazy how these guys (QBs) can throw so precisely! Who do you think the best current QB is?
@@CDKE23 Russell Wilson is my #1 QB personally, but that comes with a lot of bias. Pat Mahomes is probably objectively the best.
Which pains me to admit!
The Giants are a great team to follow they are a young and talented team who is rebuilding well and will be good in the next few years
They have been good in parts of the season! They have been very consistent in defence I find! Hopefully with Barkley coming back and having a fully fit team with some new additions we can move forward some more!

HAHA! Yes! The first lot of weeks to this season was breaking me! But thankfully we have won a few in the last few weeks! The only thing keeping me going is knowing how much our division sucks! We could actually win it 😂

When padded up you feel almost invincible so these guys go 110% speed which leads to injuries but it’s just how the game is played. Rather be the hammer than the nail
Yeah that’s the big thing! With pads it lets the players think they are pretty much invincible but they truly aren’t! It’s amazing to see how hard they play though!

2:46 - A Wide Receiver, Tight End or Running Back can pass the ball as long as they're behind the line of scrimmage. It's a trick/gadget play that's not used very often but when executed properly, it catches the defense completely off guard.
Everyone comments about the great plays, hits, etc. No one talks about the hard work these men go through in youth, High School and then College where they are drafted by the NFL. These men are gifted, talented and must be in great physical condition. And they make millions of dollars too. On you tube you can watch a whole game or a condensed game whenever you want.
Yes!! These guys are insane! Most of them walk around way over 200lbs and are incredibly agile and fast! Impressive stuff.
Some of them take ballet. At my University they have to take ballet along with track and field. Not to run but to learn techniques. I forgot who it was, but there was a football player at a University that choose ballet over football in the end.
Is that for balance? The players are incredible! Strong and agile! Can’t wait to actually see some guys live in person whenever I get a chance!

My family has had NY Giants tickets since 1976, my heritage is county Tyrone, my great great grandfather came to the US in 1845.
That’s awesome! Tyrone! Not too far from Belfast! A lot of Irish Immigrated during those years which was a dark time! Happy to see a fellow Irish man being a Gaints fan!!
The eagles ‘best’ play was because of the situation not the play itself. Eagles were about to lose at the very end of the game, but got that defensive stop to win by intercepting the ball in the end zone. That win kept the eagles season/playoff hopes alive and it was against the Greenbay Packers who are close to impossible to beat when they are playing at home.
Nathan Weinstein Thanks for the context! I was really confused! I remember seeing the eagles in the super bowl not long ago so thought there was more to them! Awesome to see that they are still beating good teams!
The Edelman touchdown pass was a backwards lateral to Edelman, then a forward pass from Edelman. A trick play you don’t see often.
It’s awesome! It’s a shame (in some regards) to see what has happened to the patriots this season!

They were the best NFL team of the 1950s. Not so hot since then. Needless to say, most fans can’t remember when they were “The Team.”
It’s a badge of honor and a Cross that isn’t necessarily fun to bear, but we’re loyal and always hoping!

I have always liked the Seahawks as the first time I ever watched them was in the Super Bowl a few years back! Although I remember Wilson should have ran the last play but it got intercepted! Am I remembering that correctly? Or did I just make something up?😂
@@CDKE23 yes hahaha dont remind me. Tbh it was more of an amazing call from Bill Belichik because all the other times that game we ran in the red zone and we thought we would trick them by passing and Bill was 2 steps ahead as he always is lol

Be a Baltimore Ravens fan. They have the most exciting player, QB Lamar Jackson. He hasn’t won a SB yet, but did win the 2019 MVP award. He is young still and most likely to win the SB in the next 5 years. He is an amazing athlete, as he runs the ball and throws it equally well.
I’ve watch a few ravens game! I cheered for them when they got to the SB a few years ago although I’ve decided the Giants are my team! Lamar Jackson is incredible! How come it didn’t click for you guys this year?
@@CDKE23 to answer your question in a word: COVID. It ripped through the team including Lamar who missed a game because of it and wasn’t fully recovered when he returned. I’m surprised they made it as far of they did. You should reconsider the Giants though. I it’s not a well managed

I love cheering on the underdogs and my Fiancé lives near MetLife so I can go the games(one of the main reasons). It was either them or the Jets.. which I’m happy I didn’t go for 😂
Most states or all have there own team, so I just support the state I live in.

@@CDKE23 funny part is they still have a chance at the playoffs with 2 wins lol. Someone from the nfc east may set a record for fewest wins to make the playoffs this year. If you didn't know the way playoffs work in the nfl is all division winners make the playoffs and the nfc east has 2 teams with 2 wins and 2 with 3 wins. With only 7 weeks to go. Worst team (record wise) to ever make it had 7 wins.
Find a new team to follow. I suggest the Kansas City Chiefs, very explosive offensive team.
I watch most of their games! I really like their rookie running back (I think that’s the position)! Plus their QB is awesome!

@@CDKE23 Chicago bears, I believe he is still top 3 all time leading rusher for running backs, he died from liver failure I believe and was honored by the “Walter Payton man of the year award”

I don't really get how you guys can like these NFL videos without understanding the game and rules. That's not a knock. The NFL rulebook is extremely confusing and a big part of being a NFL fan is arguing over what the rules are.
