Hey man, thanks to you and Herman for taking the time to do this. I’ve already been following along to some of your other videos as I’m at a bit of a crossroads myself career-wise, so being able to hear ur guys’s experiences is honestly invaluable. So thanks again and respect to you and Herman for working like beasts!

Definitely had a good group of guys there. Pretty sure most already have good jobs in dev. I don't remember ever seeing your videos during class, although links to your vids were always shared in our Slack channel. Your Concurrency and Threading vid, along with interview questions definitely got passed around a lot, haha.

Herman’s hits upon my situation. I am in healthcare and need a change. My creativity has been on “e” (empty) and need that change (that I think you all can understand).
My current job is similar to Sean’s background in the sense my performance is dictated by someone’s subjective position who was already predisposed to making the work environment uncomfortable for me.
I am new to these posts but am going through them all. It’s exciting; thank you for all you do. Keep the posts rolling.
    Cheers!!

Thanks for those kind words, Talal 👍. I've had a bunch of interview ideas, and will start experimenting with them over the coming weeks. Some may be podcast only just due to the technical hassle of filming the interview, so be sure to subscribe to that (iOS Dev Discussions). But... if I can film the interview I will. It just may not be possible sometimes.

@@seanallen Yes Sean, I've been learning Swift for about 2 months now with zero experience in programming, and likes Herman said, it's addictive.
I have a picture in my mind that I want to be an iOS developer because I love create something that challenging and fun. And I find your videos are the most inspiring.
I hope I can meet you in person someday, when I have enough experience/knowledge.

My interview lasted an hour. It was a huge surprise for me that they are still using the cocos2d framework to write games. I was worried about objective-c, and they asked if I wanted to learn c ++. They talked about the project they are working on and they expressed their concerns about whether I could handle it (it is a project for ipads in swift, not a game). So I asked to check me out. They'll give me a piece to do. I will have a week for it. Then they will decide whether to hire me.
