I love how Gordon is very supportive towards young chefs. He WANTS them to do well. A lot of professionals in a lot of different industries love to see others fail. Like oh... you’re young, you think you’ve got what it takes haha... I’m (enter age) I’ve put in X amount of time etc... makes me happy Gordon, one of the best, is not like that.
An experienced person should know better that's why. I'm the same in the cocktail bar I'm in don't come to me saying you've worked in many cocktail bars and then you don't know what in a Cosmo or a mojito!
From my experience, older people that have worked the same industry for a long time get comfortable in knowing what they're doing. And because of that when new info, products and technology arrive they're knowledge is outdated and incomplete.
But hey, they know a lot about how it used to be lol
If you want others to fail, it's because you don't actually believe in your own talents and you're terrified that you're expendable. If you're deciding out of fear, then you're already doomed to fail.

Yea everyone I’ve met who’s had the privilege of working for him has had the same experience where the American shouting Gordon that’s portrayed on tv is simply for show. Very nurturing and always honing young chefs talent along with always encouraging to grow. Yea Gordon Ramsey was taught by the best to be the best and produce the best. Truly an inspiration for anyone in this industry!!
I think Gordon Ramsay is a great guy. He's forthright and honest. Sometimes the best way you can help someone is to expose themselves, to their selves.
He's just a realist, he tells it how it is, just straight to the point, the world needs to more people like that.

repeating the same stuff as everyone, but I agree and I've also noticed there are even more fundamental difference between the UK and US shows, UK has a lot of truly deluded chefs US is often just rinse and repeat owners are screwing over the chef making huge menus, the episodes are more unique

I worked at buffalo wild wings for almost 5 years. At the end of the day when we cleaned the fryers, the pan that catches all of the fried particulates and grease would cake up into a thick brown slab. One of my coworkers took some of that and put it into a pan, put chocolate syrup on it and cut it like brownies. The servers could would not stop eating food out of the window, so he put it into the window and a few people fell for it thinking it was brownies and shoved that nastinees into their mouths.

It's 'well done' but the US one is raw with random seasonings thrown it to hide the bland taste.
The US version gives me a headache frankly. Constant war music, glitchy edits, fast and furious type transitions. Feels like watching an hour long commercial for a VFX company. Jeez!
I much prefer the editing on the British version, it's edited like a documentary, US one is edited like reality TV
I like the American one for what it is. The ridiculous SFX and editing makes me laugh and the some of the owners and chefs are insane. It does get a bit annoying with the repeating of scenes after ad breaks and they all follow the same formula. The UK one is a more enjoyable watch but best moments are in the US ones.

Gordon is actually a great human. He's said some cruel things to people, but he gives it to your face not behind your back. Also, when you think he's wrong, think again, he is nearly always actually right with his criticisms and observations.
