Tell the Engineer I was laughing so hard, I had to stop and rewind. 😂😂😂 poor sister chick, hope they stop picking on her. The quilt turned out great, the white border will be good.
I did, he had a good chuckle :) I'm going with a white border and binding in the balck cnady corn, several viewers said white and I didn't think of it before then. Thanks friend.
Sister makes a great quilting companion🐓🍗...no feed ...no potty...doesn't speak....HEY...I need one of those bhahahahah🤣
AWESOME VIDEO DI❣
She is very low maintenance from a relationship point of view🤣 thank you so much for your support. It means the world to me.🥰🌎❤️🐥
I just watched for the first time and love the quilt. Really feeling bad about poor Sister chick being so picked on though. I would take her if I lived close my 😢
I agree with stitchann to put a white 2.5 inch border around the quilt. Then add a small solid black or gray border after this followed by the border you have planned.
Did it and love it😊❤️🐥
Oh my goodness, I didnt know you once lived in Stockton...I'm a stone throw away in Modesto! Home of George Lucas and Cruising. Love your videos.
White border so the blocks float. Thank you for sharing your tips.
Great idea, the same idea came from other viewers, that's our plan! Thanks and thank you for watching!!!!
How about a white border, it would make the quilt larger but it would appear floating.
Several viewers suggested and that's what we're going to do! Great idea and thanks for watching!!!
Use the leftover blocks to make some scrappy coordinating pillowcases. Or pillowcases shams.
Great idea, thanks for watching 🎃😊❤️🐥
I love this quilt ❤. Your videos are wonderful. I learn so much. I ask my husband if we had any vodka. He gave me the weirdest look 😆
you told him you needed it for quilting? Right?!?! LOL😂😂 Thanks for watching my videos Diana!!
Your shout out made my day. Like you I wish I travelled more, but as with you, it's not in my cards currently.
Hi Annie, I'm thankful for the internet and social media. you and all the other viewers are wonderful for watching my videos! TFW!!!
You should just leave it and bind it. It’s beautiful.
Thanks, it’s quilted, I show it in todays video 😊🐥
I like your quilt. I agree with the engineer and you, Di. The border print didn't fit the quilt. It will be great on another one. Great tutorial! Thanks for continuing to inspire so many of us.
I’m going to add a white border, many viewers recommended it. We both loved the idea😃😂❣️ Thank you and thanks for watching🖤🧡😊🎃🐥
@@sisterchicksquilting That sounds perfect!
Hello from Victoria, B.C. - garden city!! flowers...
Hi from Chilliwack!
Hello Heather 👋 I was just in your lovely city for 2 days in June 😍🌸🌷🌻🥀🌹💐🌼🌺🌹🌸🌷 I’m so glad it’s close ❣️ Thanks for watching 🐥
I have never tried anything with a jelly roll. Looks like fun. Love the pattern. Love your cute personality. Love the videos. I hope you show us the finished quilt. Is Emmet Idaho anywhere near Rigby and Rexburg? Love the little town of Rexburg. I had a friend who moved there, and I helped her move in and find her house. I had so much fun seeing a new place. I grew up in Utah, married and moved to Arizona. I have been here for over 50 years. Love the winters, summers not so much.
No, it’s on the east end of the state by Boise. I ❤️AZ. 😊❤️🐥
Oh, Di, this one had me laughing!! The Engineer was really on his game. Thanks always for your creativity. Your jelly roll quilt is awesome!!
He was, the Aye merica was hilarious. 😊❤️🐥
Oh I lived in Stockton in the 1979-1983 1984 moved to Idaho. It was nice to meet you in meridian at the quilt shop
How fun! I was there for a short time 84’ - 86’. It is a very easy pattern. TFW🎃😊❤️🐥
I think sister is a brother. But I love all chickens! And enjoy this site. Thank you from Southside West Virginia
😂🤣😂 yup👍🏼 🐥
Thank you so much for showing how to make this quilt,,,i had a jelly roll sitting here,,opened it up and started cutting,,,i think with adding a few more colors i will be able to get 2 nice size baby quilts for charity out of this....back to sewing and THANK YOU AGAIN!!!!!
You’re welcome, that’s a great use of a jelly roll and this pattern😃. Thanks for watching😊❤️🐥
A plain white narrow border and then the binding... no idea about candy corn (?I hope that's right), we don't have it here in Australia... that I've seen. But that would be my choice, so the crosses could continue to float. Feel free to disagree. Thankyou Di, engineer and sister. This has been fun. Hugs, Chel 🌸
Thanks 😊❤️🐥
I am so happy to have found your channel. I love not only your quilti but also your humor keeps me 😂 laughing. If I could have one wish it would be that I would be able-bodied enough to travel to Idaho and participate in your retreat. I've always wanted to see your state. Your friend from New Mexico, Carla 🎶💐💖
I wish you could travel too. Thanks for watching 😊❤️🐥
Just love your creations and energy. Poor sister, give her hugs from me.
Thank you, I will😊❤️🐥
Aloha from Hawaii!!! 🌈🌈‼️. I really like this quilt!!! I would put candy corn border on this quilt!!! Thank you for the pattern!!! 😀😀‼️
Aloha ❣️ thanks for always being here Princess🎃😊🖤🐥
I really love this one, and I don't think it needs a border.
😊❤️🐥
Thanks so very much for making these videos-I am a newer beginner quilter and watch your channel with my gramma Kathleen who is an expert quilter. She loves to look at all the new techniques and sewing methods and due to being on hospice now and bed bound she can’t sew and quilt like she would want to but she lights up when we get to watch quilting videos on CZcams ❤ Thank you again for making her our day and we can’t wait to see what your going to be doing next!!!
What a fun activity for the two of you to do together 😊 you’re making some good memories. Thanks so much and hugs to you and your grandma😊❤️🐥
I agree a dark border would set this off.
I love this pattern. It would look great in any colors.
Thanks for the tutorial ❤
Guess what Jane!!? I'm going to add a white border, I can't wait to get it quilted!!! :)
I would love to see it finished.@@sisterchicksquilting
My dad graduated from Turlock high school, many years ago!
👍🏼😊❤️🐥
I love the pattern. Thank you so much for posting. I am a beginner quilter. I think you should put a black and white border.
It ended up being white and is in t next video 😱 TFW😊❤️
Really 🥰loved watching this J.R. project, especially when you gracefully opened up the jelly roll & sister chic absolutely quirky & sew fun. Ty from Melbourne FL
Thank you, Ty for watching from Melbourne Florida👍🏼😊❤️🐥
I love my Juki! I flew through my first jelly roll race quilt in no time flat. I have a Brother from the 80’s that I’ll pull out for zigzag stitches, but my Juki gets to live on my sewing table full time.
Heyyy, Juki Girl! I'm with you, I love the speed of our semi-industrial Juki's :)!! Thanks for watching :) !!!
;s from Ingham Queensland Australia and In enjoy your videos and I also watch April's Story Videos as well and I have learnt alot.

You are teaching this Australian so much. Love your channel
So glad! Thank you Anne😊❤️🐥
The quilt looks fun to make and I’m going to make one too! Love the engineers comments, always gives me a chuckle. See you next time 🐓💕
Watching now from Malaysia. I wish could get Halloween fabric.
Bummer! There’s no Halloween fabric in Malaysia?

Hey!!!👋. TFW😊❤️🐥
I'd add a 2 inch white border to give it some space and then just bind it in black!
I did add a 2 inch white border and then I found it in the orange and black. You know what they say about great minds. Thanks for watching.😊❤️🐥
Oh, I love the quilt and this pattern! Please keep us posted on the final decision for border and binding. I'm sure many are anxious to see the finished product. Thanks again, Di, for all your videos!
You got it!😊❤️🎃
Love the quilt! Thank you for showing us.
Thank you 😊 just finished a second one for a wedding gift, they loved it too. TFW😊❤️🐥
Beautiful fabric, great design. Thanks for sharing and the shout out! ❤👍from Somerset UK
Thank you Elizabeth 👋❣️. TFW😊🧡🐥
I would put a 2"(?) white border, then bind it with your candy corn fabric.
Ding, ding, ding! I love your idea its the winner, Karen🧡😊🖤🐥❣️
Watching from the Pacific Northwest. 💝 👏👏
Hello Rebecca from the south eastern corner of the PNW😂😊❤️🐥
Normally, I "watch" my favorite quilter's videos while puttering in my sewing room. I'm really just listening because I'm, well, sewing or cutting. If I hear something that needs my attention, I'll rewind and check it out. I just can't do that with you. I would miss your cute little notes and comments that make your videos so fun! I just have to sit and watch! Thank you, I hope you and Sister Chick keep it going for a long time!
By the way, I use straight vodka in my work as a costumer. Sometimes for pressing, but mostly for cleaning stinky costumes!
This is how I feel too!
Keep it up and you’ll make me cry with your comments, Meg. Thank you so very very much and my plans are to keep it going for a really long time.
Vodka for cleaning? It makes sense. What a fun creative job you have. I think I’d really like that work.😊❤️🐥
Thank you so very much Sina🥰😊❤️🐥
@@sisterchicksquiltingno, thank you for the inspiration ❤❤
Greeting from Australia
And Greetings from Idaho 🥔🇺🇸
I'm not fond of Halloween, but love this pattern and can envision it as beautiful in other colors. It would make a great baby quilt!
Oh yes Wanda! This pattern would be fatastic in just about any fabric! TFW!!!
I enjoy your tutorials
Thank you so much Dorothy and thanks for watching😊❤️🐥
I agree! No border. Binding could be scrappy, black, or no border. You could face this quilt. Still so many options. Great quilt and tutorial!
How about a white border Karla?? several of you were suggested that, and I love it! White is like the absence of a border, but will float the blocks😳❣️ I love it😃🖤🧡🐥
I’m such a sucker for Hallowe’en fabric. I got married on October 31st!! Another pattern to put on my list..my very long list. Thanks from Toronto, Canada
Happy Hallow-versary Thanks for watching from Idaho 🥔🇺🇸😊❤️🐥
I love your videos. You are so much fun! I appreciate that you share all your knowledge!! Thank you so much. ❤😊
Thank you so much 😍 and thanks kiss for watching ❣️🎃😊🖤🐥
Hello Gjo from El Paso,Texas
👋hey Gjo, hello from Idaho 👋🥔. Thanks for watching😊❤️🐥
It looks like it needs a white inner border to create continuity. The outer border can be pieced from the leftover blocks. White-print-white-print... squares and supplement it with white or other strips as needed. Just an idea.
I actually ended up adding a white border and showing it in y video I release today.
Thanks for watching😊❤️🐥
Commenting from Crestone Colorado. 8500 ft above sea level by the beautiful Sangre de Cristo mountain range
It sounds like you’re in heaven Loretta. Thanks for watching and commenting. I appreciate it.😊❤️🐥
I would have done a black or dark gray 1” border before the orange floral, I think it would look great.
I actually bordered it in the white background and it’s walked in spider webs😊❤️🐥. TFW
So enjoy your videos lots to learn and tons of fun (what about a white border) thanks and greetings from Australia ❤
Several other viewers recommended a white border ❣️ I think that’s going to be the one. Thank you Trudy for watching in🦘🇦🇺 Australia from🥔 🇺🇸 Idaho, USA🖤😊🎃🐥
Great quilt for a jelly roll! I love it.
Thank you Lynette 😊❤️🐥
Loved the cat print in both of her halloween lines.
So did Hazel, my grand 🐈⬛😃 Thank you Amy for watching, from fans of your scrappy cat quilts🐈⬛😊❤️🐥
Thanks for the quick cute pattern. I’m making a Project Linus quilt for a teenage girl now. It’s cute, but it’s something I’d make for a family member. It’s time consuming, but pretty. This would be a cute quilt to make for a teenager! And go faster. Thank you.
That’s right Anne. I’m making it with. Blues and a spot of orange from batiks for a wedding present. And that one will def have a border. Thanks for watching🎃🖤😊🐥
Love that you celebrated jelly roll day. That pattern looks super fun!
Thanks Nicole 😃. I love that you watch my channel. Oh and you’re right, it’s fun🎃😊❤️🐥
Hi, I’m from Franklin County Missouri.

Great looking quilt! I agree a gray or black binding will work great! Have a great weekend! Connie from California!
Hey Connie 👋 you have a great week too! Thanks for watching🎃😊❤️🐥
Love this quilt I think no border is the right choice!
Thank you Lyn and thank you for watching🧡😊🖤🐥
I live in Pensacola Florida.
👋 hey Leandra🎃😊🖤🐥
Great quilt! Love all your content. Thank you.
Thank you Julie and thanks for watching too❣️🖤😊🎃🐥
That’s a good pattern for a quick but effective jelly roll quilt. I think a 2.5” (maximum width) border in whatever background fabric would be perfect for this quilt pattern so the binding doesn’t chop into the blocks. I have to agree with you and the engineer that the orange border didn’t look right. Watching from Sunny Scotland 🏴
Several viewers have recommended White, the engineer, and I think that is the winner and I’ll keep it at a 2 1/2 inch width, thank you for watching, from sunny 🥔🇺🇸 Idaho😊🐥Alexandra❣️
Use a white stopping border before the print and it should work.
👍🏼😊❤️🐥
Hello from Spring Hill, Florida!!! Love watching your videos!!!!

Hi from Ireland, I love your videos.
Thank you Brenda ☘️🇮🇪 from 🥔🇺🇸 Idaho❣️😍🐥
Hi! This is Chandi from Sri Lanka 🇱🇰. Enjoying your videos so far. Keep going 👍👏🏻
Hi Chandi 👋👋. One of my very good friends is Sri Lankan. She came to America as a teenager and has been here going on almost 40 years!
@@sisterchicksquilting what a coincidence! I wouldn't be surprised if we know eachother (or our families!) Everyone is someone's someone in Sri Lanka!
Hello from Davao, Philippines
Thank you for watching here in Idaho 🥔🇺🇸
I enjoyed your quilting process and patten. I am a fairly new quilter in Westminster, CO, and I am a new subscriber to your channel. Thank you for the tips.😊
Thank you Sandy 😃 Glad you’re on the quilting train 🚂 it’s a great ride. TFW😊❤️🐥
Super cute Di!!
Thanks Kristina 🎃😊❤️🐥
Try a small orange border and a slightly larger border in black.
That is a great idea, however the quilt is finished. I used a white like the background. I’ll be showing the quilt in a trunk show video coming up in a few months. Thank you for commenting and watching. I appreciate it Brenda😊🧡🖤🧡🐥
Super cute and easy. I'm from Stockton also ;-)
i love it but you are right my fav color is orange but that will not work i think black or gray is the right way to go even if it has a hint of orange in it great job
You’ll be surprised at what I choose, tune in next week, I d show it. 🧡🖤😊🐥
Jelly rolls are a great way to use up end of fabric rolls.
👍🏼😊
Love this pattern. Easy, too. Great video, and the comments from the Engineer crack me up.
I know, right?😊❤️🐥
Love the block you used! Beautiful quilt! ❤️
Thank you ❣️. TFW🎃😊❤️🐥
what a great easy quilt, love the colors.. I have never thought of using beach towels for a backing, what an awesome idea, thanks from Nebraska
Neither did I until I saw them.😳. Thanks for watching😊❤️🐥
Thanks for the quick quilt appreciate you it
👍🏼😊❤️🐥
jet black Kona fabric would be perfect.
Yep, guess which one I chose 🖤🤍?
Thanks for watching😊❤️🐥
♥️ Great video, cheered me up, so much fun to watch, thank you x
Karon, I’m so glad to hear that! Thanks for watching and hugs to you😊❤️🐥
I love your quilt! 💕
I've just finished a jelly roll quilt in this same fabric. I used a narrow border with the black twinkle print and then a wider border using the orange moons print.
Oh my gosh! What are the odds 😳. Thanks for watching🎃😊❤️🐥
I just finished this pattern using a roll from Kansas, called Noah's Arc or was it the Jungle friends.. who knows?? lol. Any way it was easy peasy called 2x2. I added just a 2.5" border in the background Kona Snow, then pieced the binding with some left over strips. Earlier this year, I made 4 baby size using Kona half rolls and pieced the border piano key style using up all the leftover ends of the strip sets. Soo quick it has been a go to baby quilt for a few years now. This pattern is addicting, and so are the half rolls.
How cool ❣️ This block/pattern is a good one which I’ll make again. Thanks for watching🎃😊😎🧡🐥
Thanks now I have a great pattern for my jelly roll. Joyce from Worland, Wyoming
You’re welcome Joyce😊! Thank you for watching my channel 😊❤️🐥
Love pattern and fabric.
Thanks, I’m binding it right now and loving it even more. 🥰. TFW😊❤️🐥
Love this video for a jelly roll. Going to give it a try❤
You should! It’s such a fun easy JR pattern. Thanks for watching Sherrie😊❤️🐥
Fun easy quilt. I think you skipped over cutting the background material into 21/2 inch strips. Could be easier to use a white jelly role to save on the cutting. You are always so enthusiastic and cheerful. Great haircut very flattering.
Need a jelly roll and a cup of tea for dessert Love the fabric and the quilt.
Thanks Jeanette😊❤️🐥

Fun and easy pattern. Beautiful fabric. Can't wait to see how you quilt it. Love your pinning technique, I used it while working my apple quilt. It is the best.

You’re welcome Amy😍. Thank you for watching my channel🎃😊🖤🐥
Thank you.
You're welcome Zivalux 😊❤️🐥
Like you I also make the "quilters moonshine" by the gallon. I use a cup of vodka plus 1/2 cup of liquid starch. It sure is more cost effective than using the name brands and I think it works great. Keep up the good work on the video's, they are great fun to watch 😍
😂🤣😂I love your name for it 😅😂. Thanks for watching🖤😊🧡🐥
Just found your channel and I’m so glad I found you! That jelly roll is gorgeous! I’ve never used one….but you make it look very doable! Great video! Love the pattern. Thank you!!!❤❤❤❤
Hi Leslie, I’m so glad you found me? That jelly roll pattern is probably the easiest ever. TFW❣️😊❤️🐥
Love the halloween of the last two videos. My favourites. I live in an exotic place...Canada :). Do you have enough left over to do piano key border...or float it with a 3 inch white or cream border (whatever your background is.)
I actually just sewed a white border on it tonight. It makes the crosses float. You’ll see it in this Fridays video. TFW❣️😊❤️🐥
