Nearest neighbor is a mile away, and we haven't spoken in over 2 years. Once I scared away a mountain lion that was after my donkey by whacking a shovel on the pipe corral and yelling, "GTFO of here!" at it, and it did! (Truthfully, I was terrified though.) I think this cat is my spirit animal!

This cat is beautiful! If I didn't know it was impossible I would think I have a cat that has some of this cat in his DNA. Loner, big front teeth, really really thick hair, mean look, stocky and slow, and an extremely loud growl. He's never meowed like a normal house cat. In 43 years I've never had or seen a cat like this. I got him from a shelter. He sits and just stares at me sometimes like he's thinking how to subdue me. But I dearly love him for his quirkiness. These cats have adapted to their environment. I guess they have to be aggressive to live. But I love cats of all kinds so it doesn't matter to me.

I know someone who used to have a Pallas cat. He acquired her as a kitten from our zoo. She was rejected by her momma and they didn't have the support staff on hand at the time to constantly bottle feed her, so he stepped up. He ran a sanctuary in our area and had all kinds of big cats and a couple of bears as well. Roxy, his Pallas lady, was a sweet little thing though she always had "resting bitch face". In fact, it was his bobcats that were the assholes. But I used to sit in her cage and pet her and feed her and she was a happy camper. He had a lynx named Cindy that was the same. I will say this, when Roxy decided she wanted to play, it was HILARIOUS, because they really are fluffy clutzes. Not at all elegant like the other Big cats. Even those damn bobcats could make a clean jump. Oh, and if I went out there to visit Roxy during a season change, I always made sure to wear "junk cloths" because I would always walk away absolutely COVERED in fur. Especially in the spring. Holy macaroni. lol

I am sure if that baby had experienced true wilderness and bonded with other Pallas cats, she would have had a completely different demeanor. We had a lynx as well that was just a big ol housecat, but two bobcats that we took in as older kittens that we rehabbed that were mean as F***.

We also had a goose that would chase certain people across the yard. Animals can have personalities as well you know and that means some of them can be ass holes. A bit like your self. ✌️

They have been studied extensively. They are only really aggressive during the mating season. It's just the fact that they have naturally low-positioned ears, which makes them appear aggressive all the time to anyone that knows the behavior traits of a domestic cat.
Yep. Above and beyond the ears and any mating season trends though, I can tell that those cats don't like strangers getting close. Mine acts exactly the same way around strange people or animals, but she's sweet as can be when in her comfort zone.

Hardly evil. They are superbly adapted to their environment. And they can also be perfectly fine when treated appropriately within their captive area. They are wild animals and should remain in the wild but sometimes they are rescued when injured and end up at a sanctuary. They do have a grumpy appearance, but behavior wise, there are many other wild cat species that tend to be far more dangerous and disagreeable in captivity.

@I like Turtles From what I heard it's hard to take care of them (Chinchillas), most people don't know how to and don't realize the responsibility. They sound like a awesome pet tho! Sugar Gliders are amazing pets, my Grandma has one. It's very, very, very odd to find a aggressive one. Their cages are quite expensive though. Sugar gliders love having bonds with people, unless it's the odd case of a aggressive one. My grandma got an aggressive one in particular, and she has been able to turn down that aggression by a bunch.

He ran a sanctuary in our area and had all kinds of big cats and a couple of bears as well. Roxy, his Pallas lady, was a sweet little thing though she always had "resting bitch face". In fact, it was his bobcats that were the assholes. But I used to sit in her cage and pet her and feed her and she was a happy camper. He had a lynx named Cindy that was the same. I will say this, when Roxy decided she wanted to play, it was HILARIOUS, because they really are fluffy clutzes. Not at all elegant like the other Big cats. Even those damn bobcats could make a clean jump. Oh, and if I went out there to visit Roxy during a season change, I always made sure to wear "junk cloths" because I would always walk away absolutely COVERED in fur. Especially in the spring. Holy macaroni. lol

@@katecarlisle8383 None of the "big cats" really are if you have them from newborn onward. Bottle feeding and whatnot makes them attached. I am sure if that baby had experienced true wilderness and bonded with other Pallas cats, she would have had a completely different demeanor. We had a lynx as well that was just a big ol housecat, but two bobcats that we took in as older kittens that we rehabbed that were mean as F***.

We have a bull he is really nice but our last one was a bit of a dick and don’t even get me started on some of the horses they bitey kickey buggers. We also had a goose that would chase certain people across the yard. Animals can have personalities as well you know and that means some of them can be ass holes. A bit like your self. ✌️

They have been studied extensively. They are only really aggressive during the mating season. It's just the fact that they have naturally low-positioned ears, which makes them appear aggressive all the time to anyone that knows the behavior traits of a domestic cat.

Hardly evil. They are superbly adapted to their environment. And they can also be perfectly fine when treated appropriately within their captive area. They are wild animals and should remain in the wild but sometimes they are rescued when injured and end up at a sanctuary. They do have a grumpy appearance, but behavior wise, there are many other wild cat species that tend to be far more dangerous and disagreeable in captivity.

Sugar Gliders are amazing pets, my Grandma has one. It's very, very, very odd to find a aggressive one. Their cages are quite expensive though. Sugar gliders love having bonds with people, unless it's the odd case of a aggressive one. My grandma got an aggressive one in particular, and she has been able to turn down that aggression by a bunch.
