This was so good and helpful, I feel like I was agreeing with Jenny about my personality and setting boundaries and found Lysa’s advice extremely helpful. I’m in a particularly stressful season@ work but many of the examples given can be applied to my bosses. Being given some great words to use has immediately sky rocketed my confidence, I’m ready now to have the toughness I convos necessary. It’s past time to set (reset) my boundaries, or move on to what is next for me. It took 7 years for my originally very secure boundaries to fall/be trampled, It’s time to get things situated and boundaries reinstalled, or move along:) Thank you for this very encouraging conversation!!!
Amazing advice and examples I find a lot of people don’t have the EQ to participate in or understand a conversation which just makes the whole thing exhausting and makes a goodbye the only option.
i have walked a similar life to Lysa. One book that I thought worked so well and refocused my mind was, "The Body Keeps the Score" ...

Is that what’s going on? I’ve been in denial about getting turned down this whole time..? It certainly doesn’t seem that way to me because there is, or was, most definitely something going on from my perspective… At this point I don’t know if I’m crazy, being investigated by the FBI and/or Google for being crazy (and that’s making me more crazy), being tested by DJI, being groomed for marriage, politics, business, or pastoring, or being initiated into some kind of organization… Either there is no answer and I can’t escape this self-inflicted abuse or there is legitimate psychological abuse and nobody will do what’s necessary to help me… be honest and direct. They care more about their secret or methods than me… If they did something that’s fooled me they need to tell me…

Please help me here. I am not seeing Jesus in this concept. I am a person in a relationship that desperately feels a need for a boundary system but I’m hindered by my faith telling me something different. Jesus bankrupted heaven for us AS SINNERS, WHILE SINNERS. What about Romans 5:8, Matt 16:25, 2 Thes 3:13, 1 John 2:6. Aren’t we to die to ourselves and forgive over and over and over as he does us? Wasn’t the veil torn so anyone -even those without responsibility- are allowed in the temple and ACCESS to God?? Please correct me, humor me, argue, something on this, anyone? I am hearing from God we should be SLAVES of righteousness… not what I’m hearing here from Lysa that we should protect ourselves from evil, but shouldn’t we let God do that? Am I wrong???? I ask this in love, respect and true desire to know the truth. Thank you
I highly recommend that you listen to more of Lysa’s videos on CZcams and Leslie Vernicks stuff as well…very biblical view but answers all you touched on and asked!
