Hi, do you know how to change the size of that shape by inches?
Hi! Thanks for commenting. To change the size of the shape in inches, you can edit the values that say W (width) and H (height) when creating the shape. As default, it will probably be displayed in pixels, so to change to inches right-click on the value and select "inches". Hope this helps!

how do we make the inside of the rectangle empty
Hi, change the fill of the shape you've made to transparent (first option: a white box with a diagonal red line going through it). You can all set the fill of the layer to 0%, but if you have a stroke on it, that will also be affected. Hope this helps!
