- My goal in this video was to do the ultimate comparison of Smile and Da Capo in Item Asylum. I compared both items in 5 different aspects which are Damage, Abilities, Survivability, Solo Performance and 1V1. I hope you like it!

The reason this took more than 10 days to make is because I tried to write a video script with zero prior experience, as a challenge to myself. I also had some stuff to do other than video editing so I couldn't focus on this video much. I also have a procrastination problem which made me give less importance to the video than I should've. Other issue I have are that my laptop is missing its graphics card and the editing software I use becomes extremely laggy after some time.

pros and cons for each one(in my opinion)
smile pros:
1. alot of options when it comes to abilities
2. great song
3. great hp gain
4. overall good dps
5. can one shot players who has the item "dead" applied (but still doent matter given the said player will just run away from you and kill you before you get to land a single hit on them)
smile cons:
1. terrible without merge (Which merging is hard given people will hard target you the moment you take the smile out)
2. your location gets revealed once you merge. meaning people will be able to target you easier
da capo pros:
1. great damage output (even without the movements)
2. great area of damage
3. imnunity to debuffs like fire and poison meaning you can use fire force for extra speed and defence(polish meal doesnt work)
4. great song
5. doesnt reveal your location. meaning people wont be able to know your location
6. funni easter egg while trying to use polish meal(had to mention it cus funny lol)
da capo cons:
1. lack of ranged options in earlier levels
2. lack of abilities
3. finale having terrible damage output(it can hardly kill a regular player)
Da Capo is more of just a boost for your load out of you get enough melee kills for it, wanting you to use other items in combination with it’s aura to get kills.
Its near impossible to get da capo going too.
wait i just realized what happens when you get fire force and movement 4? do you just straight up become invincible?

after some testing, you take 1 tick of fire damage and do not get a defense boost. However, you DO get to keep the speed boost, which helps a lot
You forgot smile is trash on majority of the maps with a void.

This is probably a FLAMING hot take, but anything that makes trumpets appear should be immune to instant-kills. Same thing with Borrow.

Just like how borrow works with upgradeable weapons da capo and smile should be immune to borrow as well. Also upgraded weapons like AWP, Mad Noob’s Shotgun, etc should be immune from instakills.

The 1v1 isn't even fair, Da capo is a slow tick dps and smile is a quick burst dps. A 1v1 like this would always result in the smile winning just by the hitstuns and ISoC
the hell do you expect, a 2 minute long battle as da capo relies on its aura to do damage while smile uses ISoC whenever possible

Da capo is better in team gamemodes like tc or tdm bc ur aura actively helps ur team kill other players easier. Keep in mind that I'm saying for the team, instead of by yourself. Imagine silly gas, a tc destroyer, except constant. That's basically what da capo movement 4 is

all that happens is you get extra speed, not defense

people keep forgetting da capo's aura heals you and thats why its so overpowered in public servers, its because people swarm you and you heal off of it
and yet you still have less survivability than maxed smile because 500 hp + 200 (or higher/slightly lower) hp every kill

And plus da capo is better when with a team

moreover, smile is still far better in team performance because if you merge it your team wins (ISoC and vomit hitstun could also be utilized by your teammates to kill even faster)

Smile is just better because I've never been able to reach movement 3 with da capo
It's way harder to kill WITH da capo than playing safe and absorbing dead bodies after players fight, plus the speed boost of smile is helping.
Da capo you need a good loadout to stun and beat people in 1V1 or try and kill low HP player.
Also you can unequip smile to be sneaky while da capo with just movement 1 and you can't hide anymore.
Also smile has a better music and also a remix
My silly ass got banned for like 5 months then suddenly the game just let me back in
If smile and da capo had a pure 1v1, smile wins for sure, however if you take into account that your in a server with multiple other people, nearby players heal da capo, making it a much more difficult fight, putting it simply, smile is a good all rounder but da capo is very strong with crowds.
Itd be a stalemate cuz both heal like crazy smile will just isoc to gain more bodies

smile heals an average of 40% of its hp every kill (which is 200 health), the hell are you on about
fun fact! in lobotomy corp, da capo has the highest dps out of any weapon, excluding twilight
yet i refuse using it if its not the full set
Da Capo arguably has a bigger chance of survival than Smile, I’ve seen it tank out an entire Cero Metralleta and survive several bobms whereas Smile gets deleted by those items
Smile's M1 combo after merging does ragdoll which is sometimes somewhat useful
that's only the 3rd hit in the combo.

Smile lily and pact (after the new pact buff and considering that the one you pact doesn’t just reset)
Da capo god loadouts:
Da capo random ranged cassiebucks
Da capo random ranged fire force (after getting movement 2)
Da capo random ranged noob tube
imo treat smile and da capo like how you would for slayer’s sword and necromancer’s scythe
smile, like slayer, is way more destructive and tanky while da capo is more versatile and mobile
da capo is no longer more mobile than smile (both have equal hp) and it is less versatile than smile because smile has more hp + better healing + better damage
I think pact should make you heal faster, because it feels difficult to heal when pacted because theres two ways to get damaged now.
I death noted a server dominating smile user with 60 bodies in tdm then with runners glove wasted their 10 minutes trying to kill me.
Da Capo feels more fun to me, and it can make some banger screenshots imo

I have been saying for months that da capo should be buffed like 1 kill gives you first movent 2 kills 2nd and so on also buff the hitboxes and hp
Also Movement Da Capo can Solo Snatcher and Hunter in ZS, Something that Smile could never do.

i think da capo solosurvivibilty still sucks because 1: on any map with environmental hazard, there are way too many weapon that can overpower da capo and ranged weapon exist

@eggggyu5 yeah that is if every tick hits, da capo has high def so you can easily push on downtime and kill with the health regain if u can dodge attacks, it would depend on a single user's skill as well
@@HiroTheProtogen really not that difficult since ISoC has huge range and it's not like da capo can get out of the scream since smile can easily catch up thanks to the hitstun
moreover, attempting to attack during downtime is surrendering but with extra steps since da capo gets obliterated by max smile in melee fighting (mind you smile won vs da capo while only being at 80% of its strength)
also da capo only heals ~11 hp/tick which is not sufficient to heal a 350 hp player who is fighting a melee powerhouse
