The Kyoran Mk-2 is a Fast CL doing 41.5kn that only needs 667 crew. Compared to my earlier CLs which could only do 36.5kn and required over 1,000 crew it is much better at its job.
The Kyoran 1943 Shared Design ship is actually 10x more expensive than my 1957 Dangan Mk-2 campaign ship. Because in 1943 one must use gas turbines to get light enough engines. My 1957 Dangan Mk-2 uses double geared turbines and forced boilers but of a later technology, this makes it much more affordable.
