Jimmy White was a fantastic player to watch back in the day. Legend. He might not have won the world championship, but he was and still is loved by snooker fans as a (peoples) champion.

This man was a massive part of my teenage years i watched every match he played fantasic snooker player and just a very humble man in himself no edge no bad attiude he gave it his all for his fans
Jimmy was my childhood favourite player, he was incredible & the way he played was breath-taking.
People forget how unbelievable he was. There was no-one like him. It was as though he was born with a cue in his hand.
Without doubt the best player never to have won the world championship.
Jimmy brought a brand of snooker never really seen before. He used to do the best trickshots at end of frames.

Jimmy’s 90s record was very strong. He really should have made a couple more finals in the 80s but I guess his lifestyle at the time didn’t help.

Unfortunately Jimmy cared more about drugs, alcohol and gambling than he did about practice. He should be a multiple wc by now. Snooker requires 100% 24/7 and Jimmy wasn’t dedicated enough.
