What exactly does snooker need to adapt to? Even best of 7 is ridiculous in my opinion. A bad run of the balls for a couple of frames and the match is as good as over with not enough frames to turn things round. Matches should be best of 9 as an absolute minimum.

Your right people forgot when Hendry won 5 ranking tournaments in a single season there was only 8. Instead of the 16 they have to play today , Hendry would easy have 40 ranking titles if there was more on the tour back then.
Or if there was fewer now the Selby , dings , Trumps , Robinsons and Murphy’s of the world career stats wouldn’t look so great compared to the players from the 90s.

Davis an over hyped club level player even worse with CPFR of 2.36 % No wonder in a career spanning over 40 years he made one 147 and 355 centuries.
