1950 Northern Pacific Passenger Operations - The North Coast Limited Crossing Stampede Pass

Of all the U.S. transcontinental Railroads, when it came to the grandeur of the west, only the Rio Grande could challenge the Northern Pacific. Where is squirmed the ox-bow loops at the bottom of Yakima Canyon, the cool lime-green North Coast Limited was a starling contrast against the chocolate browns of the lava flows.

i always loved the livery of the np. saw many of these trains at the union depot in st. paul as a youngster. good video was fun to watch. i am glad someone back in the day took the time to film all these old videos.
