Manchester United are planning to make a formal approach to Newcastle for sporting director Dan Ashworth.
It is understood the Newcastle chief is top of Sir Jim Ratcliffe's list to front up his new football operation at Old Trafford, although no formal approach has yet been made.
Newcastle would be reluctant to let Ashworth leave but the 52-year-old is privately open to exploring the potential opportunity to join Man Utd.
The interest in Ashworth comes after the Premier League and the Football Association both approved Ratcliffe's proposed bid to buy a minority stake in the club.

Please pay attention if you're experiencing:
    - Dizziness
    - Fatigue
    - Headaches
    - Excessive sweating
    - Muscle cramps
These could be signs of heat exhaustion or heatstroke, which occur when your body struggles to regulate its temperature in hot weather. Heatstroke is a medical emergency as it can lead to brain and organ damage if the body doesn't cool down.
When exposed to high temperatures, the body loses water, leading to a malfunction in its internal thermostat. Here's what to do:
    - Move the person to a cooler place.
    - Avoid wearing heavy clothing.
    - Remove unnecessary layers.
    - Offer cold water to drink.
    - Apply ice packs or cold water under their armpits to help cool them down quickly.

Really dont understand the fuss . He had made signings which came with no pressure and it wouldn't matter if they were a success or a failure. Utd his signings will have to be an instant suxcess , completely different ball game. Also what happened with his due diligence with the tonali signing? Developing youth players at the FA wtf , ridiculous comment to make, ita the clubs who develop.

Newcastle will go and get Rangnick and instantly upgrade. Dan Ashworth isn’t even in the top 10 DOF’s. Everyone thinks he signed Bruno, Trippier etc but they all signed before Ashworth went to Newcastle. Ashworth only wants over priced British players and a British manager.
Ashworth wasn’t part of Brighton recruiting Caicedo, Mitoma etc, Brighton own their own betting company which they use stats from to recruit young talent. Ashworth takes all the credit for the stuff at Brighton but Brighton went from relegation contenders to Europa as soon as he left.

  • @TheDefJamm
    @TheDefJamm Před 3 měsíci +1

Newcastle fan here. If he stays, fair enough. If he goes, absolutely no big deal as this is the guy who didn't do any due diligence on Tonali and look how that worked out. He is NOT as good as people think. Also, we don't want anyone at the club who's head is turned whenever there's interest from somewhere else. Get rid if that's the case because that is a personality trait we do NOT need or want.

You didn’t say the same thing when you poached him from Brighton tho. That’s the nature of the job he does. He is a sporting director , he can decide to leave his position whenever he gets a better opportunity just like any other person in that role

Check your facts, he did not sign all them players you have listed for NUFC, most of them were at the club before he arrived, but there again it’s Sky Sports so we can’t expect anything else can we, it’s lazy reporting at it’s worst. Put Ashworth on garden duty for two years and charge 20 million compensation

Wow, talk about inflating someone's value. You can tell it's Valentine's Day because Sky Sports are in a full on love affair over this deal and Dan Ashworth.
Let the man go I say, we'll take the compensation money to help us invest in players that will make a difference to the club. Our key signs over the last three windows have had nothing to do with Ashworth.
