That mark to set up his 10th. It is scary how good he was

No one could beat him, he was too big and powerful, they might have been the same weight, but he lead and got to it first, they might have been the same height, but he just pushed them out and marked it.......he was the unstoppable combination of height + weight.

@@swordiexd He is a very humble man, doesn't make a peep, clean, wouldn't intentionally injure opposition, only situationally if they got in the way, he was a class act.

It rarely works because footy has evolved, why do you think Buddy is the only player in the last 25 years to kick 1000 career goals?

If you could pick one great forward , Lockett or Carey who would you pick. Me , Lockett every time. Not biased as I'm a tigers supporter. Only one better kick of the ball and that was Petter McKenna of Collingwood.

I'd take Tony Lockett or Peter Hudson. Those 2 were absolute freaks. I remember my dad telling me a story: someone walked past a church in Hawthorn and there was a sign out the front of the church and it read "What would you do if Jesus came to Hawthorn?" The person wrote on the sign "Move Peter Hudson to Centre Half Forward." Made me absolutely crack up laughing, still makes me chuckle to this day.

Tony lockett was the first ever play I liked. My favorite player of all time BUT just imagine buddy franklin playing in that era as a full forward..buddy is Gona have 1000 in this modern generation imagine if he had the 50 metre arc all to himself. Honestly 1500+. That's how good buddy is

Wow, how good was footy before they had to make it woke, with pc-themed rounds, and bending the knee in solidarity with a marxist organisation in America?
