- At Holyrood today Colin Smyth asked the Scottish Government what its position is on whether it is appropriate for the chief executive of Circularity Scotland to be paid a reported annual salary of £300,000
Labour, Conservative and SNP MSPs were all aggrieved in the Chamber today as Lorna Slater repeatedly, again, failed to answer simple questions around the Deposit Retrun Scheme and Circularity Scotland's chief being paid a £300,00 a year salary.

Most companies that are supposedly for profit actually try to avoid them as profits are taxable and could be a benefit to the public. There was an example of a UK water company that had its financing repayments to its head office abroad fine tuned to the point that there was never any profit. This is just another example of how politicians and industry dance together for their own mutual benefit in their bid to outwit the public and to avoid resources going to the people that require them. In the same way a bank never lends money to someone that actually needs it. Most millionaires living the life of luxury in the same way never have any income or assets when it comes to a settlement. It is just an endless game played with no conscience or accountability.

Every answer is read from a script I for one will contribute to a one way ticket to Canada for her but given the state of Canada I think they’d pay for a return ticket only too happy to get rid of her. We’ve got enough home grown incompetence without importing it.
