Having only just found you on CZcams, I am very quickly making my way through your videos.
Firstly, I LOVE your channel. Informative, educational, hilarious and entertaining, with a really laid back take on things.
Ive been a huge foodie since being in my early teens, having been raised on a huge variety of foods, from Malayan, Indian, Mediterranean, Mexican, to good old British classics.
Unfortunately, I have an illness that has put a stop to my days of conventional eating and I'm now artificially fed via a line into my heart.
It has never taken away my passion for food and I adore the fact I've been able to raise my own children on some foods that aren't necessarily common to the UK. However they're all grown up now and off doing their own thing, so I don't get to cook like I used to but I still get alot of enjoyment from watching foodie friendly videos, however most of them are quite repetitive and stick to 'safe' foods.
I'd like to thank you personally for re-lighting my foodie fire; I literally can't stop watching your videos. I love your 'no frills', back to basics take on eating and entertainment and the way you get across a real feel for the way people live in different parts of the world.

I would like to go back to Vietnam some day. The last time I was in the Delta, we were patrolling up and down those waterways looking for people smuggling guns into the country. It would be nice to just cruise through there without being sniped at.....however, the food was excellent then, and I'm sure even better now.

There are so many food review channels out there but this one got me hooked just because of this guy Sonny. He is genuinely likable and funny.
So when in Vietnam we did a Mekong river tour and we had the gourami, as well as lots of other experiences, but one of the hosts came and made the rolls for us... Also went to a coconut sweet place, a honey bee farm, a local village for music and fruit, and had the alcohol with a scorpion and a snake inside
I'm starting to think Sonny will become the veteran CZcamsr for Vietnam like what Mark Wiens is to Thailand. Except with video edits with such epicosity and humor.

This is f...g great !!! Absolutely one of your best. I mean seriously folks, how many videos have you seen that have combination of i) people climbing coconut tree like it's nothing ii) open up a coconut like it's a soft skin fruit iii) citrus fruit treat a fish before it gets DEEEEEP FRIED. That fish tastes awesome too, you can eat the tail and fin as it's really crispy, it's like a kettle cooked potato chip. BTW Sonny, funny bit about "if you have hair" and "seven .... on a scale of seven".

It's cool how somethings are very similar,if not completely the same, as other cultures , in El Salvador we also have the exact string coconut candy that was shown in this, this is a reason I like watching this channel , makes me learn and be aware of differences and similarities that vary in cultures/countries ... this channel has made me even more open to other things
