In one case the man had initially proposed but the woman said no because she was going through some sad family events at the time. Men have moving the same way, religious and non-religious, for millennia.

It's also shocking how a woman fought for EQUAL RIGHTS(something that women fight for today) in proposing that most woman today have a issue with.
