To be honest mixing trance and mixing dnb isn’t that different, exactly the same process. It’s not like getting a dentist to perform brain surgery 😆
I appreciate this DNB set, it's awesome, and his productions in this genre, but I also like his older productions such as the Progressive House club banger "Pyramid Scheme (feat Chuck D)" (Arjunabeats label). He's versatile for sure. He pitched most of his earlier productions between 128-137bpm, a far cry from DNB @ 174.
My fave from this set is the mix into Amoss - 2 Clicks 21:34 ... a HEAVY beater on that KICK to offset the EVIL SUB.
As an old man with kids I skipped this night at Respect, I am still kicking myself. The lesson is if someone you want to see comes to town (Especially as an old D&B head from LA) go out to the damn club. My apologies to Logistics, Mat Zo, and Machete for wimping out.
You will always think back on an awesome show, you wont remember having a bit more rest in the morning

Went specifically to see Mat Zo, and ended up searching for parking in Hollywood for 20+ mins. and then standing in line outside the club for almost an hour (with pre-purchased tickets), in order to catch the last 15 mins. of his set. Still worth it though
Check for parking next time next to CNN building on Sunset ;)

Incase you didn't know half of all the EDC sets this year for diff artists was this guy ahaha, he's the real talent in the scene
Gods bless this channel for not including the MC in the mix for this upload!! MCs are great when you're there live, but don't really aid the atmos when you're just listening at home!
call me cookie TOTALLY. OnCe in a while if it’s just a quick intro it’s cool and adds an element, or on a rare occasion the MC is funny, but most of the time it ruins it.

@@jamesleon4883 He is indeed. If you use discogs and search him up you can see the releases he has under each alias. It's a great resource for things like that and more. When I first used it years ago I was surprised how widespread the use of aliases are in the dj world. Some djs have over 50 different aliases which is just crazy :)
