I agree with what you say about us not needing more Beast Wars. Beast Wars was made great by the build-up. Let's not forget, Transformers was pretty much a dead franchise when Beast Wars came out. Many G1 fans thought the story was over and the Transformers weren't coming back. Beast Wars fed us a few breadcrumbs, like mentioning "The Great War," but the Season 2 finale when they found the Ark was jaw dropping purely because it undeniably confirmed the connection, showed us when and how, and revived an entire franchise. That feeling we got during the Season 2 finale cannot be replicated, because we're never again going to feel like Transformers aren't coming back.

I feel like the live action movies made a similar revival. Those brought the transformers into the mainstream.
inferno was my favorite predacon from beast wars. the voice acting was just as good as the g1 cartoon. the voice acting made each character iconic in their own right.

Facts
Thanks for this. As a 90s kid I started with beast wars. Older people would tell me about how the transformers was a better show, and I ended up catching G1 on VHS and really liked it too. My head nearly exploded when I saw season two of beast wars because up until then I had NO idea the shows were connected. Seeing Optimus Prime in 3D made me far more excited than anything should have, and I had to have Optimal Optimus for Christmas that year. I’ve gotten back into transformers recently by blowing the dust off of Fall of Cybertron in my steam library, so to come back and see this really tied everything together since my only knowledge of G1 transformers is from Season 1.
The Beast Wars are over and we're moving on, to the planet of Cybertron.

I love the point that you make about demand for live action adaptations, reboots, or sequels to things in fandom. So many fandoms ask for that stuff but…
I prefer when something is wrapped up beautifully and we can remember and love it, be inspired by it. But I don’t want more of it, I don’t want to see it recycled and drug out until it is ruined. I like to see a good run, but every run has a finish line.
Time has always been possible in Transformers. Spike and a few TFS went back to medieval England, the Arielbots went to pre-war Cybertron and met Orion Pax aka Optimus Prime.
I liked how it was more than just two factions fighting each other. The Predacons were long secretly planning a war with the Maximals but Megatron was a threat to that plan, that’s why they sent Ravage after him.

I get what ya mean about beast wars not needing a sequel or new content. But what I would want is more involving the characters, like how Rattrap was in IDW. The characters could be reused like a lot of G1 bots. New incarnations of characters are tradition at this point, and the BW cast have a real lack of reusing compared to those like Bumblebee, Starscream, Hot Rod, etc... A chance to see them shine again is what I, as a beast wars fan, would like to see.
Beast Wars was the best stories ever - man wish they could redo with better CGI now but afraid the writers would want to change story

Megatron was a menace. When I watched Beast Wars, I kept yelling out, “he can’t keep getting away with this!” Killing TigerHawk was the final straw. Just glad the Maximals strung him up at the end. In all honesty, I tried watching Beast Machines but it didn’t have the same magic as Beast Wars did.
I would love to see some Beastwars stuff currently. I loved it as a kid.
But G1 & Beast era has a same as G1 continuity family from the transformers universe, man.
I'd like to see them take all of the audio of the original show but animate it with current technology. The 3d animation back then was ground breaking and all the progress made since then would make for an amazing remake IMO.
Beast Wars was so unique and well written that every episode was exciting and edge of your seat action adventure and suspense. Descendants of the Autobots and the Decepticons is absolutely brilliant and a different change of pace but faithful to the established lore of G1 Transformers. Optimus Primal and the Maximals are so good together and they don’t mess around when it comes to doing battle with Megatron and the Predacons. So many memories especially Dinobot dying after such an heroic battle and transmutate as well as Starscreams ghost arriving and causing trouble was really fun and exciting. Optimus Primal merging with Optimus Prime’s spark as well as Megatron with the original Megatron was epic. Yes I agree with you let it be what it is for the incredible time and work put into it. Can’t be duplicated in anyway but something else just as good will come along eventually but yes Beast Wars stands on it’s own as a masterpiece of story telling in transformers lore and historical events 😉

I loved the gen 1 transformers it created a whole new genre bit Beast wars for me was the biscuits n gravy. You have filled in SOO many holes and questions I had with this show. Would you be willing to continue with the 2nd half of yhe beast wars, when they go back home to cybertron and it went all hippy and vegan 🤔?

The Characters from Beast Wars/Machines did remind me of the G1 Characters like Nightscream was like Wheelie, Tigatron was like Beachcomber, Hound, and Mirage, Airazor was like Powerglide and Cosmos, Rhinox had that mix between Brawn, Rachet, and Wheeljack, Cheetor was like Hotrod, Tracks, Sideswipe, and Sunstreaker, Rattrap reminded me of both Bumblebee and Cliffjumper, Silverbolt was like Springer, Blackarachnia was like Nightbird mixed with Arcee.

I think it would be cool to see an exact remake of the series with modern CGI, but the voice acting won't be the same. 😢
I found it interesting that Megatron chose a Dragon as his Transmetal 2 form considering his form boss Cryotek was also a Dragon type Predacon but Blue instead of Red
I'm not sure he had a choice. I suspect when he was being altered by the spark of G1 Megatron, falling in lava caused a change in the beast form. He might have just became a more complex looking T-Rex otherwise.

But I feel a lot of this Lore went unexplained in the show...
We just liked fighting robots and sassy characters.
It actually was (I recently rewatched it) but if you don't know about the existence of the G1 it's just confusing. They never aired G1 in my country and when we were watching BW and they refered to events/characters from before it felt like I've missed an episode along the way or something. And back then I wasn't sure if I actually didn't miss it so yeah. That's way videos like that are priceless

This show was so amazing back on the fox kids line up. I got into transformers because of this. To this day I made these growls I never knew Dino bot made until I rewatched the series. Infact I never finished it as a kid. I stopped for 2 reasons 1 my uncle at the time didn't record it for me. 2 I was so scared even till this day when tigertron says "the aliens they are coming" and that suspenseful music and everyone in shock.. woo I get tears and goosebumps just thinking about it. Now there's a live action trailer and honestly I hope it's good. I hope dinobots voice actor comes back and Megatron saying "yes" every couple sentences 🤣

After the machine wars was over they was seem to create tarantulas
They even seemed to help Megatron back to prehistoric earth to start the beast wars and razorclaw seems to be ready to take over Cybertron after primal and meg's died in beast machines

I actually enjoyed the movie. I didn't care about the fact it's not beast wars, i just watched the movie because it's second Transformers movie not to be directed by Michael Bay. I know your not going to watch the movie, but as someone who saw the movie, the maximals are of an alternate continuity in the rebooquel. But again, I didn't care because a major reason why I loved beast wars was because I love animals. Nothing more, nothing less.
