- An entertaining chat between Steve and Alan Hughes, who was the Master of Ceremonies. In my opinion he was the best bar none and far better than the MCs of today.
For any punters out there, the interview has some amusing stories of the great WT and Harry Findlay.

Steve Davis is a very talented interviewer. He could definitely host a chat show with guests outside snooker

Alan was the main man, best Snooker MC of all time way better than Rob Walker. His voice was just special when he introduced the players especially in big finals you knew something was going down.
Rob walker is an irritating idiot how did they recruit him as an MC

The best snooker MC ever wad Bruce Donkin at the Cruicible when it girst started. He was also a referee and tournament director.
Never heard of him, that’s going back a bit in fairness.
Got odds of 8-1 for Steve Davis to White wash Dave Harold back in the early 90s,Steve won 5-0 in one frame needed a Snooker and got it marvellous, it was David Harold 1st time in front of TV cameras good odds won a few quid 😊🎉

Alan Hughes is still alive and i think calling greyhound racing. He was a proper MC-bring him back!
