Before I start watching, I just wanted to throw a new show out there for you and those of your viewers who love Dead Boy Detectives... My Lady Jane. Now hear me out 😲😅 You know I am a self-proclaimed anti-romantic. The artificially forced soap opera fairy tales that indoctrinate readers and viewers into believing that such things are not only NOT unhealthy, but are desired forms of relationships saddens me, rather than sweeping me up into swoons and hot flashes. THIS IS NOT THAT. My Lady Jane is SATIRE. Subtle (and not so subtle) satire. It is also Fantasy (as in Sci-fi / Fantasy, not sex fantasy.) I have laughed every episode (granted, I have 3 episodes to finish, and I hope they stick the landing.) It takes common period, drama, and romance tropes and leans into them - in a meta, funny way. I am enjoying it immensely and wanted to share with anyone I think might enjoy it. My Lady Jane is on Prime Video. Let go, lean into it and have a blast!
