    Good video. This is the only building video. All the other videos are sponsored/shill promotional videos. This is the only real video that ACTUALLY shows how to build it and how tedious it is to build this thing. Building SFX is very tedious and I think this is a very honest video. The other ones just show pretty pictures in 4K but are very dishonest about it. I have this case and this was a helpful video for building it without having to suffer through it as badly.

    Hi, thank you for your review! I would just like to make a few comments about your conclusion:
    1. different color for screws is a good idea, but I think that most customers prefer all black screws, and #6-32 ones are silver. I tried to differentiate them by putting them in different zip bags :)
    2. installing GPU before PSU usually works fine, your GPU was just slightly too big
    3. I did use 90 degree risers for the previous revision of the case, but these ones offer few advantages compared to those
    4. stand usually sticks to the case pretty well, this was probably an exception
    5. you can still install two 2.5" ssd's without removing the mask (from the rear side)
    6. you are correct about the cpu getting hot from the GPU, 10700k might be a but too hot for a slim case but those gaming temps were still in tolerance imho :)
    In an case thank you so much for your thoughts and feedback, I really appreciate it!

      Thanks for dropping by!
      For #1, Maybe you can also design to have uniform screws altogether. I recently tried NR200P, and in that case, screws are pretty much uniform and I find it extremely convenient (and lazy-friendly).
      For #2, yeah. I usually go big to test out the specs and instructions provided.
      For #3, may I know the advantages?
      For #6, I usually do an open test bench just to compare the diff. But of course, I know that the GPU will add more heat and some heat will also linger in the case. Also, based on a comment in my latest video, I have also noted to suggest workable components for the cases that I'm testing. Some like the form factor but not really into raw power.
      More power to you (and more availability as well, though noticed that you have both P-ATX and N-ATX on sale)!😀

      @@manongunboxing there are a few advantages, main one is availability of riser models in true gen4 version, 90deg ones are rare and harder to find. Next is case compatibility, if you want the gpu mount to be flexible and move it from one side of the case to another (1-4slot gpu) the cable on a 90deg riser will be in the way. Also for the "gen3/4" riser I sell for some reason 180deg version works much better than 90deg even though they should be the same. Another reason is that double reverse are more common and there is a larger chance that someone will have it from a previous case :)

    Regarding CPU cooling in a case like this: I have a Sliger Conswole which is smaller and more compact than this case but the same layout, and I had the same issue. It is very easily resolved by zip tying a **slim** fan to the side panel that blows directly into the CPU cooler, and use a fan connector on the motherboard that allows you to control the fan RPM by the temperature of the CPU. My temps went from the 80s/90s as seen in this video, to down in the 60s/70s by doing this and it only cost me $15. The GPU is still the dominant noise overall, so loudness wasn't affected. If you do this, make sure you get a PWM fan so that RPM is controllable and not constant.

    • @manongunboxing
      @manongunboxing  Před rokem

      Hmm.. tbh I've handled a few cases by now but can't tell which is aluminum and which is steel.
      One thing is for sure, the panels are not plastic. There are some "required" rubber/plasticky elements such as the cord of course and the part of the feet so that it will not slip.
      Anyway, will find out.

    it looks like the riser would block the pcie slots, it defeats the purpose of using an ATX board… sayang diba?

    • @manongunboxing
      @manongunboxing  Před rokem +1

      Yes, sayang. No capture card / 10gb lan, etc. Although I didn't point it out since some are already doing exactly what sfftime wants: wasting their pcie slots by vertically mounting their GPU, just on a fatter case.
      Also nowadays, ATX mobos are geared towards nvme storage rather than regular pcie slots, there will still be waste but maybe the mid x16 slot at most.

  • @spycon69

    The case is a total disappointment. Despite the neat design, in reality takes extreme experimenting, trying, failing, trying again and again and finally failing to achieve what's advertised. Poor build quality for the money, vague manual where in most cases you have to guess where the spacers, the risers, the psu cable etc will fit (if possible). In several cases I was very close in damaging the components in order to fit them in the case. Finally i abandoned the whole build and ordered a new case.
